i want an explanation on david, because if you look at it like i am, on the island the first few seasons we see aaron born a blande blue eyed baby and in season six off the island in the "alternate reality" or the "after life" were introduced to david a black haired blue eyed teen seems to me like a resemblance of jacob and mib ya know jacob to aaron and mib to david makes some sense in a way. in the end the ending of the series was beautiful.

Looking back, he is the ONLY person is selfless in the group. His entire life, he's helped people around him, tried to ensure their happiness, and not been selfish at all (well, besides hording all that dharma food). I think that over all, his good side far outweighs the bad more than any other character. The change in his outlook in the flash sideways seems like one of an enlightened being.

For those who didn't watch Dragon Ball Z there was a character named Trunks. He went back in time to warn everyone one about evil androids that will kill them. It was later reviled that he couldn't change his time line. He could only create a new time line where his friends and family weren't killed. Maybe that was Farday's intentions on the H Bomb.
