  • @lawlolawlOMG Go listen to whatever fucking music you want but don't brag about it trying to make yourself look smarter and more intellectual than all the other little 12 year olds out there not listening to 'old' music.

  • i love this segment Junk!

  • screw the gay new music, go old-school

  • U shuld continue this

  • I feel that when I wrote the highest rated comment I was completely angry with the whole industry . When i say electronic garbage i mean artists like kesha that get through the charts with crappy songs where her voice has been electronically altered. I do not despise all music that is created electronically . A good example of a good band thats electric is prodigy which I have been to see live.

  • Try and find her Junk :)

  • I just realized im 14 and im A Jimi Hendrix fan. i wish people would stop telling me to stop tripping on Purple Haze.

  • @1Upster9000 hahaha thats what i get. go listen to machine although not strictly the experience it is one of the songs he did with the band of gypsy's. the best version of it is the one he did at Filmore east so go check that out

  • moar!

  • All this song does is make me realize how sad and pathetic my life really is.

  • Young ppl like me are losing the best songs. Junk and some others are bringing it back

  • MOAR MOAR MOAR MOAR MOAR MOAR!!!!

  • I like jazz.

  • I like music from all times. Granted I hate the radio and "what all the kids are listening to" but I like metal, punk, pop punk, classic rock, dubstep and old school rap. I can rattle 50 bands I listen to right now.

  • great idea cant wait for the next song

  • hey guys here is a description to get the old version back (assuming u have windows 7 or vista) go to the windowns Start button and search %appdata% and put percent signs! then click enter or roaming. find and enter the .minecraft folder. then click on bin. then go to the minecraft jar file and right click and go to properties. then go to previous versions and restore old one! • Love the song :) I heard it when I was five :P I do not have any favorite song, I just love listening to songs that makes me shake my leg :D

    Btw I'm 13.

    Continue this Junk :)

  • @sysouvanh

You're partially right but there's also the smaller bands out there but most of them are just local to there area and are kind of irrelevant :/

  • EH junk DARK SIDE here. You know i love music so this new segment is perfect for my entertainment:) keep these comin.

  • I wish some people would just shut up and appreciate that everybody has their own taste - every music requires some form of talent to produce all these different sounds, lyrics and beats. Whether you like Elvis, The Beatles, Skrillex, Moby, Savage Garden or Korn, learn to appreciate all the other styles. Hey, I love house, trance, dubstep and such, but I also love hearing the old rumbling riffs of Led Zeppelin, the swing of old Blues, and the snappy solos of Jimi Hendrix. just be at peace.

  • back when music was real

  • 69

  • I like how on any video that has to do with music starts a huge flame war because some people like different music. there is no such thing as REAL music because any type of music can be real to someone. For example if someone likes pop and someone else likes rap, they don't have to fight over which genre is garbage or worse because to them that is "real" music. The music industry is like the world because its diverse just like music. Music is diversity

  • THE FLAG OF NORWAY <3

  • I think this is a great idea specialy because it could help introduce your younger audience to some songs from your youth

  • Lol I hate it when people are like "I'm only 12 but I like the REAL music" and rattles off old bands. Come on.

  • @Zairne well i hate people like you who say people who like older music are stupid because i mean you can listen to what you like and everyone else should be able to listen to whatever they want to.

  • @3152222 I love how you completely misread what I said and took it in the completely wrong context. I didn't say "If you listen to old music you are stupid". I said "If your a young kid who brags about listening to old music for attention and to try to make yourself look smarter, you are stupid", stupid.

  • @Zairne Journey, Brian Adams, Foreigner, The Beatles, Carpenters, James Taylor, Carole King, And sooo much more.

  • @Zairne I DONT GET WHAT UR SAYIN BRO

  • @Zairne Hey, i wouldn't discourage them. there are so many people who won't go beyond the Top 40 it's ridiculous. =_=

  • Ahh... Summer of '69... This song reminds me of hen I got my first guitar XD

I took that guitar on a trip around australia with my uncle.

I got a few signatures on it too.. Cant remember who from, though

  • Im 17 years old now and there is this one song by Uncle Kracker called Follow me and I used to listen to it with my cousins in my grandma's car, we were pretty young probably about 5 or 6 and it brings back thoes memories of when we used to play together over at our grandmothers house. They moved to florida and we grew apart since and it just puts a smile on my face whenever i hear that song.

  • please do a billy joel episode :D

  • this is a great idea junk i like listening to new and old songs ive never heard keep up the great work and being original

  • lol if Dee watches this :D

  • I'm 14 and on my first date, it was a school dance, one song came on and i can't remember the name but that when i hear that songs tune it always reminds me of that moment

  • Alright, I am 18 years old (male)

Watched Toy Story 3 this summer and "You got a Friend in me" came on. Teared up. I have NEVER teared up in a movie until that moment. Goddamn childhood being gone and whatnot.

If I hear Grade 9 by The Barenaked Ladies i get memories of running around the house dancing to the music being only like 6 years old...

  • Tears i Heaven will always have a place in my heart

    ERIC CLAPTON FTW

  • I am also 14, and I love this song! i wish music like this was around now when i'm a kid.

  • I really like this idea =D its a good one.

  • This song bring back so many memories and i''m merely 15. My life has been under stress pretty much since the start of middle school. And the only song that can take me away from all that is this song. Coming up to high school, I forgot about this song. Forgetting also that high school will put me under more stress... Finals are in school and I have screwed up so many thing in the past year. I makes me happy to hear this song again... Thank you, junk.

  • my favorite artist is (insert famous related artists so people think im cool)

  • we had a band concert in our school and there was a beatle collection so im 13 and i was singing it and everyone is like your a wierdo

  • I don't have a story to this song, but I remember being 16, chilling in my room with my best friend, and trying to learn how to play Creed and Aerosmith songs on guitar, then going out and shooting each other with airsoft guns in the desert ... xD Great times, great times...

  • Norway<3

  • god i love this song

  • i never heard that song and i love rock

  • Gotta hate copyright i am in my ipod cant open two windows

  • This has always been one of my favorite songs and I am only 19.

  • Junk, Did you listen to rock all the time?

  • This album was the only cassette tape we had on the way to the beach when I was young, probably seven or eight. It's a song that always sparks great childhood memories.

  • geto music sry junk i dont like fags singing in my ear

  • Nice story and LOVE the song. Now, where's the World War 1 Story? XD

  • This song reminds me of my dads funeral 4 months ago.

He always listened to this song when we were in the car on Holiday.

So he wanted it to be played on his funeral... it was a beautiful moment.

Thanks for bringing this song up again Junk, I completely forgot about it!

  • love summer of 69 go byran adams, thanks junkjard

  • MOAR

  • It's an amazing song :) Your awesome Junk :3

  • status quo, pictures of matchstick men, amazing riff

  • @ForsythAJ1997 Yeah, song is amazing! Same with the band :D

  • omg i know this song a long time ago like 4 years ago when i was like wat 8

  • Great song and classic album. Loved "Summer of 69" when I was young.

  • I miss the music way back then :(

  • I hope that if i hear summer of 69 that my spark of memory was listening it for the first time while watching Junkyard's video :D

  • I SAW MY HOUSE OMG!!

  • Junk you should definitely make this a regular thing

  • I saw my house!!

  • Even though I'm into alot of punk and rock and like some of the classics. I love Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Beach Boys lol. As for Summer of 69 I quite like it but a band I like did a cover of it and I like that a little bit more :)

  • @Voodooenglishman i used to think that 60z and 70s music was the best and all other music was lesser in quality, but it really is not the best music. To be fair there have been more combinations of notes and chords that sound great that were not around back then. Also electronic music is great and takes twice the skill to make as apposed to rock or any other genre and also STFU you eliteist fuckhead

  • @Pampl3Moos3

What you just said was really hypocritical. I've done both electronic and 'rock' music, both the synthesiser and guitar take skill - just in different ways. He's 14, everybody hits the old school 'rock' phase.

  • I love this song. Most of the music I listen to is old and I'm on 16 lol

  • now we now what junkyard's name is... Gary

  • @KnnightGUY11 yeah... it's not like it says it right on his channel page :P

plus when he was candidate for the host of a machinima show he also told us his last name.

  • @KnnightGUY11 actually you could have just gone to his channel when he started and you wouldve seen his name this is not the first he mentioned his name in a video.

  • @KnnightGUY11 he tells us his name ALOTTT

  • I am 14 and my idols are pink Floyd,Led Zeppelin,Cream,Eric Clapton,Jimi Hendrix,The Beatles,Syd Barrett and The who. People make fun of me and call me a hippy and to move on with the times and to stop tripping on acid. I don't expect anybody else my age to know what real music is so I just Deal with their minds that can't except that their music is computer processed garbage.

  • @voodooenglishman Im just the same but im 13 and listen to all those and bon jovi, twisted sister and other 70-80s singers ^.^ Its because of my father ^.^ And i cant say i dont like it ^.^

  • @X3n0cBG hey father showed me what real music is too ^^ awesome fathers ftw!

  • @voodooenglishman COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU

  • @voodooenglishman Respect! btw I'm 18 now..i just wish there were more like us around these times :-s

  • @voodooenglishman me too but im 13

  • @voodooenglishman i'm 14 as well and i totally agree with u

  • @voodooenglishman. i am the same age and listen t almost the same music and i know what its like

  • @voodooenglishman open your eyes, you douche. I'm not saying those bands are bad, but there's tons of cool music coming out this moment, you're just too damn lazy to look around for it. Also not all computer processed music is garbage, I'd tell you to go listen to Radiohead - kid A (yes the album, single songs are for plebs), but it would probably be 2deep4u.

Also Godspeed You! Black Emperor, or the entire post-rock scene for that matter. But for now, just go continue listening to your dad-rock.

  • @voodooenglishman why your channel sais you're 20 :/

  • @voodooenglishman

that's really cool man, don't let anybody tell you what kind of music is the best music. I was very much the same at your age (I'm now 20 years old) - I loved all those bands, especially early Zeppelin (I have all their albums). But at the same time, you should appreciate that talent that goes into other genres - by computer garbage, I assume you mean electronica genres like House, trance, dubstep etc etc. I play guitar and do computer production, both r equally hard.

  • @voodooenglishman No one cares.

  • @voodooenglishman fuck yeah the who. look at my name.

  • @voodooenglishman I'm in the same position as you, but I listen to rock and metal. (calling your bands classical rock not excluding them from the rock genre) I get shit for long hair too, but just ignore it. Who cares. Let them listen to their shit about sex (rap) and just let us listen to our music :)

  • @voodooenglishman I don't like the Beatles, but the rest are fine.

  • @voodooenglishman me to

  • @voodooenglishman Your crap

  • @0fficerNasty I know i am. deal with it

  • @voodooenglishman Your computer processed garbage

  • Anyone else coincidentally line the music up exactly with Junks?

  • 1969? Yeah, I kind of wasn't even alive that year.

  • that is real music not this auto tune computerized bull poop

  • brian addams -summer of 69 makes me feel like im a kid again its such a great song a song that will live on forever even with the newer generation of kids the song is just magical

  • Junk I think this was a great idea for a video, very original and very nice :D I also have lots of memories, not as much as you since I'm 19. Whenever I heard this shania twain song on the radio called "gonna getcha good" I remember when I was about 12 years old driving to New Brunswick in Canada at a hotel and we were all having fun with that song on the tv. I don't know why stuck but it did and I always thought that those trips were very fun with my family. So thanks for the video and memory.

  • Hey it actually works alright beats the copy right policy by a landslide

  • im 20 and i love the same music that junk likes

hey junk what do you think of rush?

  • @papiecho18 Rush is awesome!! I saw them last summer! :D

  • We always played this song before training in the changing room back in the days when I played hockey.

I remember hearing it in the car going to the beach when I was younger. I'm only 18 now but I heard a lot of Bryan Adams music, Bon Jovi and that sort of thing when I was younger.

I miss that easy listening music...

  • Norwegian flag 0:21 !!!!!

  • junk was 72 in the summer of 69 xD jk

  • Bryan?

  • Back when music was real (and I haven't even seen 18 yet)

  • @sdstig yeah, nowadays you don't even have to know how to know how to play an instrument, you don't even have to sing good cause they can modify it all with computers. i hate it!

  • @sdstig on;y thing that keeps those "spirits" now is country

  • Junk, you couldn't have started this series with a better song. Hope to see more of this series soon!
