Dec 7 marks the the 70th anniversary of pearl harbor attack.
Japanese do not like to face the fact but....they got their arse kicked.. and got what was coming. President Trueman said this was the best thing that has ever happened.
Japan is owned by the USA and Douglas MacArthur is the Emperor of Japan, but since he is dead it is now Obama who is.
Though the Usa owns japan they are nice enough to allow them to use their jap flag and give themselves a virtual identity.
Retired MCPO. Once attended a relistment ceremony here for 5 sailors in 1997. A Sunday morning at sunrise, long before all the tourists arrived. One young 3rd Class Petty Officer with tears in his eyes (must have been no older than 19) turned to me and said " They are not gone. They are still keeping watch on these decks". I will never, never forget that.....
I lived on Oahu for 10 beautiful years and had two beautiful daughters there. I have been to Pear Harbor many times and it is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. It is sad because we all know what happened there over 60 years ago. To me It showed me of how evil the human race is. Is really sad that this happened and many decades later the tragedy of 9/11. WOW! Who would have ever guessed this same tragedy would occur YET again. GOD BLESS THE MANY VICTIMS AND HEROES. ALOHA....
USA lost the Arizona, Germany lost the Bismarck and Tirpitz, Japan lost the Yamato, GB lost the Hood. These ships and many others were lost on any side and many seaman died or their country. They all thought they do the right thing and they served their country and died for it. No matter what Nationality they had, each one who died for his country is a hero in my opinion. The war is over and there is no space for racist comments full of hatred thoughts. Greetings from Germany.
It's shameful that this war was fought in the first place. But I find it even more shameful that there are some VERY racist comments on this video. I'm pretty sure MOST Japanese/Germans are VERY ashamed of and sorry for what they did during WWII. And if were of Japanese decent, I WOULD ACTUALLY find comments like "only a fucking jap would dislike this vid" or "I'm glad we dropped the a-bomb on Japan" VERY offensive
FDR was responsible for the ARIZONA! Pearl Harbor was NOT a surprise attack, a result of US intel failure NOR a brilliant Jap plan...FDR KNEW about it beforehand and actually PUSHED the Japs to attack - Robert Stinnett's book DAY OF DECEIT, THE TRUTH ABOUT FDR AND PEARL HARBOR. The American public was fooled again and made to pay so that US military industrialists could get richer. 9/11 was the same thing. How stupid can you people be! US govt is just using you poor idiots!
-You'all don't think it was just an accident that we had non-panning 'film-rolling' (-to anger Americans) of the supposed 'direct Jap-bomb into Turret-magazine hit' do you? Some experts say an explosive-charge was actually a jewZionist timer/implanted-sabotage much like what was done to the Hindenburg by the jewZionist a bit earlier! The fanatic Zionists never care about collateral-loss of non-jew lives, -for according to the Talmud, -that's just part of their on-going scheme against non-Jews!!
I went there once and these Japanese tourists were there and some guy started punching them in the faces. Screaming "You Japs did this! You deserve do die!"
the music is so disrespectful... to happy, this is a memorial, the grave of over 1000 men... :( i went to the memorial TODAY!! this is just, it dose not sit well with me. To be there and see the oil droplets floating in the water... the survivors call them "black tears" as if the ship weeps still... 69 years later... this is a somber place you cant take footage of it and add happy music and make a mockery of there death... thats like putting tom and jerry music to the diary of Anne Frank!

i would like to visit this memorial someday. it would have a special meaning to me. i have lived in Arizona my whole life. that was our ship! :..( may they all rest in eternal peace.
In 1961 Elvis Presley performed a benefit concert in Hawaii to raise money for the Arizona Memorial Fund. He was, at the time, the highest single benefactor to the fund.
Thanks for posting. I reenlisted on the USS AZ Memorial back in 06 April 2000. There was other U.S. soldiers, Marines, sailors, and airmen that day as well. Also witnessing our reenlistments was a fomer WWII POW group.
a reall serene place to visit to respect the heros of ww2.. but my problem was that Elvis presley in 1960 did e benifit concert to help raise the rest of the money need'ed to fund the memorial building, the then gomerment didnt bother, yet a plack in the 1960's thanked elvis... since then its been removed and Elvis has not been acknowledge'd for it... shame on those who removed the plaque...
elvis even gave a big sum of money from his own account . what a stab in the back that was.
i have a home in Hawaii and this memorial is the one memorial i LOVE going to. =) but it gets me mad when we're in school talking bout things like this and people dying and dumb asses have the nerve to make stupid comments. i mean come on grow up
December 7, 1941 will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace to all that died that day. I've been to Pearl Harbor back in March of 2007 I still remember it.
One of the most memorable places I ever visited was the memorial of the USS Arizona in Hawaii. It was a very quiet place during the visit. Gave you such a feeling of loss of loved ones. And the most touching thing I ever witnessed was Japanese people in tears right along with us American. Gave me the real sense of how 2 peoples were really just one. I myself will never look at another person from another country as a threat but an opportunity to befriend him.
Sometimes your viewpoint is correct, sometimes that other person is attacking under orders to kill you. Your attempt to befriend them will result in their victory. Remember Pearl Harbor.
I can't imagine what it must have been like here, or anywhere on any ship during the war, to drown for the sake of fighting against an idiot with a daft moustache!
I Also Believe some of the Vets That Did Survive. That Horrible Bombing on that ship. Some of them passed on over the years and some people asked where they wanted to be buried With there Friends that Died in the Arizona. Kinda don't know how that works but brought a tears to my eyes.
I lived at Hickam for a 3 solid years and went to see the Memorial when you go across the White Bridge and look below it gives you goosebumps all over your body. You can even see the Oil from it just floating A very breath taking experience, bored. And Ventilla yes there are sailors bodies still in the Arizona ship some guys just did not make it out in time and ended up drowning
@baileytexan Walter Lord also authored, "A Night to Remember"... based on the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic! I was lucky enough to have met him in person while he was alive. To this day, I have a signed copy of his Titanic account in my Titanic collection!
I went there, they showed a film and it was interesting..... There were lots of fish in the ship

shouldnt anyone get rid of the oil i know its a tomb for over 1,000 sailors but am pretty sure its also a tomb for some fish too
remove the oil fish dont like it D:f
