Toyota and Honda practically own the mini van market in the USA... Name one van (american model) that's even tried to change their look? My parents bought the 2011 sienna and we have had it for almost two months and I have to say I love it. It makes the old sienna look old. I personally like the new style. The only thing i don't like about the van is that the interior colors are too light . I would prefer darker colors.

my parents have a venza, and yes, i think its pretty cool. i like the edges, and more or less inherent sportiness of the grills. toyota has finally gotten away from just being mundane and bland. that's my opinion at least

A Matrix 4cyl is not a 2.7L it does not have much hp

I used to make fun of minivans until my wife insisted that we buy one for road trips with our two children and dog. We bought a 2009 Sienna. As long as we have kids at home, we'll have a minivan. Makes a world of difference on the interstates.  Tons of room and lots of power.

Im more of an suv fan but i must say this is a really nice looking vehicle. I rented an 08 for a road trip and it truly was a great vehicle. I think Toyota will do really good with this one.

Once you get past the front its not that bad. Im just not that fond of the grille. Other than that, I like it. The recliner in the back seats is a cool feature that I expect everyone to copy.

Minivans still sell in huge numbers. First, comparing a minivan to a fullsize SUV doesn't really work. Second, the only crossover that comes close to the modern minivans is the GMC Acadia/ Chevy Traverse, and that doesn't even come close to the capacious space inside the tall, boxy, and low-to-the-ground minivans. I don't think minvans will die out until the vehicle as we know it has died, too.

I actually really like that Toyota Sienna SE! It looks amazing! Really, it's the only Toyota I would consider buying if I had a huge family.

seems like every toyota designed today (throughout the world) is designed to just sit in the middle of the pack. it doesn't handle better than any other car, doesn't go as well as the other cars, no more practical than other cars, not much more fuel efficient than the other cars, and certainly not better looking.

name one toyota on sale today (besides the land cruiser) that does anything better than its competitors. pickup trucks don't count.

I totally agree! You know how Mazda's line is "Zoom Zoom", well Toyota's should be "Perfectly Fine". Toyota's have no soul :( . I really like the features in the Sienna though (Lay-Z style chairs, and flat-screen).

BTW, who in the HELL is going to buy the LF-A?! If that were $60,000-$70,000, it would sell like hot cakes. But I think it is UGLY AS SIN! If I had $350,000 to burn, I'd be buying a Ferrari or Lamborghini, NOT a Lexus. Maybe I dislike Toyota's too much to judge them fairly, I dunno.

the lfa costs that much because it costs that much to make. it's entirely carbon fiber, and has a small engine with a huge amount of power.

if it were on sale for about $60,000, they would be taking about a $200k loss on every single car.

and anyway, it costs as much as a ferrari 599 because it's as good as a 599, regardless of the badge it flashes.

well some people like my cousins for example chose not to buy a minivan because it makes you look like an old bag so they went for SUVs since they're more sporty. That's probably the crowd they're going after with the sport version.
