Toyota and Honda practically own the mini van market in the USA... Name one van (american model) that's even tried to change their look? Sorry but anyone who says this vans ugly really must be blind and a antiToyota person, this things sexy and futuristic looking! It'll outlast every american car on the road...
This van looks outright ugly. I can't believe people are sucked into buying this piece of ugly crap. On top of the ugly van, you get the "Toyota Unreliability"? No thanks!
My parents bought the 2011 sienna and we have had it for almost two months and I have to say I love it. It makes the old sienna look old. I personally like the new style. The only thing i don't like about the van is that the interior colors are too light . I would prefer darker colors.
1/27/2010: Toyotas are not nearly as reliable as all the sheeple think they are.....oh, think I'm wrong? Has anybody picked up a fucking newspaper in the last 48 hours?
my parents have a venza, and yes, i think its pretty cool. i like the edges, and more or less inherent sportiness of the grills. toyota has finally gotten away from just being mundane and bland. that's my opinion at least
I used to make fun of minivans until my wife insisted that we buy one for road trips with our two children and dog. We bought a 2009 Sienna. As long as we have kids at home, we'll have a minivan. Makes a world of difference on the interstates. Tons of room and lots of power.
this new bulgy front end of most toyotas now only seems to work well for the new sienna. the camry looks like a piece of crap. and the new carolla is not much better.
Im more of an suv fan but i must say this is a really nice looking vehicle. I rented an 08 for a road trip and it truly was a great vehicle. I think Toyota will do really good with this one.
Once you get past the front its not that bad. Im just not that fond of the grille. Other than that, I like it. The recliner in the back seats is a cool feature that I expect everyone to copy.
lets pay people hundreds of thousands of dollars to decide to put a I4 into the new "fun to drive" minivan!!!!! awesome. hopefully a V6 is available and they neglected to mention it. I'm all for going green and fuel sipping.... but come on.. really?
Minivans still sell in huge numbers. First, comparing a minivan to a fullsize SUV doesn't really work. Second, the only crossover that comes close to the modern minivans is the GMC Acadia/ Chevy Traverse, and that doesn't even come close to the capacious space inside the tall, boxy, and low-to-the-ground minivans. I don't think minvans will die out until the vehicle as we know it has died, too.
what the fuck is going on over at toyota america? seriously? their american division hasn't made a good car since... i'll get back to you on that one, while their european and japanese engineers design class-leading cars like the aygo, auris, iq, land cruiser, and avensis touring.
please tell me what kind of family wants to spoil the ride of their minivan with 19'' wheels and a sporty suspension?
seems like every toyota designed today (throughout the world) is designed to just sit in the middle of the pack. it doesn't handle better than any other car, doesn't go as well as the other cars, no more practical than other cars, not much more fuel efficient than the other cars, and certainly not better looking.
name one toyota on sale today (besides the land cruiser) that does anything better than its competitors. pickup trucks don't count.
I totally agree! You know how Mazda's line is "Zoom Zoom", well Toyota's should be "Perfectly Fine". Toyota's have no soul :( . I really like the features in the Sienna though (Lay-Z style chairs, and flat-screen).
BTW, who in the HELL is going to buy the LF-A?! If that were $60,000-$70,000, it would sell like hot cakes. But I think it is UGLY AS SIN! If I had $350,000 to burn, I'd be buying a Ferrari or Lamborghini, NOT a Lexus. Maybe I dislike Toyota's too much to judge them fairly, I dunno.
well some people like my cousins for example chose not to buy a minivan because it makes you look like an old bag so they went for SUVs since they're more sporty. That's probably the crowd they're going after with the sport version.
i'm not sure the people at toyota know what they're doing at all, i mean, just look at the price tag on the new lexus lf-a, which is engineered by toyota - 375000 bucks!

HELL NO! Im not sure if this new design theme is really really boring, or really really ass-ugly. Or a bad combo of both...
Some of the newer Lexus' are also employing this horrid new design style

Those lazy boy recliners in the back are pretty cool. but the 4 cyl model must result in scary highway merging especially with a full load.

its not powerful enough

i agree. the 4cyl would be bad. my mom has a matrix 4cyl and it doesn't have much power until you get in the high RPMs

The Venza with a 4 cyl is powerful for what it is 189 hp (est)
A Matrix 4cyl is not a 2.7L it does not have much hp

We get 26 mpg highway with our '04 Sienna with the 3.3L V6. Am I supposed to be impressed with a 4 banger that does no better?

EPA estimates now are stricter. So now its best in class

More strict or not...26 mpg is what we get in our 3.3L on the highway. I've calculated it many times.

well first off i dont think its a good idea to play wii in a mini van.
second did i hear him right? a "performance" mini van ha ha good one
lastly, it resembles a honda with the toyota facade placed on the front which makes it ugly

PorscheCayenneLover 2 years ago
the lfa costs that much because it costs that much to make. it's entirely carbon fiber, and has a small engine with a huge amount of power.
if it were on sale for about $60,000, they would be taking about a $200k loss on every single car.
and anyway, it costs as much as a ferrari 599 because it's as good as a 599, regardless of the badge it flashes.
coolerdude44 2 years ago 3
with 350,000 dollars i would buy a zr1, a gtr and a used supra to modify, and pocket the rest
