BUT I HAVE NO IDEAL what size… I have never owned a dog other than a Chihuahua. Please help me : ( ~ which carrier do u suggest I get? And what size of pen? Medium small? Winstons soo cool, we're thining of getting a king charles puppy in a couple of months, either a king charles or a cavachon, but after seeing winston, think the cavalier has made our minds up about it.
@MegaApplenerd The one thing my breeder said is not to buy 2 at the same time. If you do they bond to each other and not as well to their owner. Greatest dogs ever but my breeder clearly told me she never wants to sell 2 at one time to the same person for this reason. Lots of luck.
@MegaApplenerd from experience they are really loveble dogs and are just beautiful but my dog is a nightmare to train everytime she gets out our front door cause we have a little place at the back but everytime she gets out she wont come back and when your just about to catch her she runs away :Lshes just so bad but i just ove her so much and she so friendly and when she meets someone knew she wags her tail so fast that she kinda shakes her ass you should really get one just train them asap :) x
Great videos! Winston is so cute! We have a Cavalier, who was rescued from a puppy mill. She never barks and has the saddest eyes I've ever seen. It's interesting and hopeful watching the behaviors and dispositions of "normal" Cavaliers.

But you people have a bit of a problem. If you have a child for instance and they get all A's in school, do you absolutely have to reward them with money for instance for doing well? No, you don't have to. You aren't going to go to hell. A "Good job" always does the trick. I mean I don't have a child nor a dog, but as a psychology major I don't see this as a problem for the dog in any way. The dog got kisses! I think that's just as rewarding and shows how much he loves the dog.
I agree with the rest of these comments. My Cavalier would hassle my grandma for food constantly, and she would always give her the treat, so she came to expect one every time she saw my grandma. Animals should be rewarded with food, but only to an extent. It spoils them if you treat them too much.

Your little dog Winston is so amazing - when our german shepherd died of old age earlier this year we got a cavalier just like Winston. These little dogs are the greatest, easy to train, low maintenance, so affectionate and wonderful with little kids. Fussy about their food though, Louis will only eat something new if I spoon feed it to him. Cheers

Dogs DO NOT and SHOULD NOT need a treat every time you ask them to do something. They should do what you ask because you are their pack leader - a treat every now and then is ok, but it doesn't need to be every time. A 'good dog' is enough - as long as you praise them in some way for their good behaviour. Winston is a good dog, and his owner is a good owner - they clearly both love each other very much. KISSES ARE THE BEST, lol! :D

We just recently got a Cavalier King Charles this past November, and he's a bundle of energy :) Still in the process of training him, but my parents let him get away with nearly everything so it's hard to get him to learn certain things sometimes!
@thereal1Vanquisher Winston does not love the door bell. Other dogs barking outside sometimes gets him barking in the house. They are not generally barkers but it also depends on the dog and what he gets used to.
@strumtstrummer Yeah, great if you have a paranoid spaniel who barks at every little sound like the one I live with. Thankfully her son, my dog, doesn't do that.

I don't know if she can actually see Winston but her head moves from side to side at all the sounds. So cute. She's 6 months old now and such a good girl. I have a cavalier he had been living outdoors for a while but now we are bringing him in the house now the only problem is that he is 2 years old can I still house train him?
didn't know these dogs could really live outdoors. they are so people centric so i am surprised to hear this. Winston has only been inside so I don't know how to answer this. I would assume any dog can be trained and if the dog has a crate, that would be a good way to start training but I am no expert. keep the dog inside, it's meant to be around the family, not out in the yard alone.

To those who complain that this dog is being poorly treated, I say stop your bitching. Dogs do not need to be given treats for everything they do. It creates spoiled dogs who really aren't trained at all. They should respond to your position as the authority figure, not to a bag of treats around your waist.
@fififeral No kidding. I live with three of them. The father of the one I bought recently whines so much its annoying cause they ALWAYS give him treats especially when he's whining. I had to tell them to stop doing that cause its reinforcing the behavior but I bet they still do it when i'm not around. Luckily i'm getting my puppy trained so he won't be anything like his father.

I have one they are not worth 1500 they are worth more as a puppy but like 5 years they may be worth 1500 at puppy age aroun 4000 bucks for it. these dogs are supposed to be treated with love, happiness and a good home. Love your dog like you love your family :).

I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, he is a younger version, I must say, Some of them breeds are ugly <<SOME, most of them are adorable, but my one is really cute && i hope thaat my doggie will look like youus!!

To those who complain that this dog is being poorly treated, I say stop your bitching. Dogs do not need to be given treats for everything they do. It creates spoiled dogs who really aren't trained at all. They should respond to your position as the authority figure, not to a bag of treats around your waist.

@fififeral No kidding. I live with three of them. The father of the one I bought recently whines so much its annoying cause they ALWAYS give him treats especially when he's whining. I had to tell them to stop doing that cause its reinforcing the behavior but I bet they still do it when i'm not around. Luckily i'm getting my puppy trained so he won't be anything like his father.

I have one they are not worth 1500 they are worth more as a puppy but like 5 years they may be worth 1500 at puppy age aroun 4000 bucks for it. these dogs are supposed to be treated with love, happiness and a good home. Love your dog like you love your family :).
