  • okay... so is it Ah-sus like AHHhhhhhh! or A-sus?

  • @firewolf47 it's ah-SOOS not AY-suss caps for emphasis. rhymes with a train's caBOOSE

  • @grahammj Haha! that's what I thought! Thanks :P

  • Would really like a reply to

This please if possible.. It seems most people at moment can't even run their Sara 6th ports due to a buggy chip. My ssd or had don't work at all in those ports!! And no one knows what's going on. What a sad state of affairs. Would love your thoughts and help guys :)

  • is usb 3.0 faster then my amd2 boards built in sata?

  • Why aren't you approaching 600Mbps? Does the p6x58d-e use the same bridge chip technology to give the RAID controller the bandwidth it needs? Were you using the Marvell 9128? Whare can I find a block-diagram for the p6x58d-e?

  • @raydlevel5 The Marvell 9128 had a hardware flaw. It scored lower in RAID0 than if you were to put a single drive on that controller. They attempted to fix it with a firmware update, but they discovered it was hardware... it's a real pity. We'll have to wait for a next generation controller to really tap into the 750Megabyte Speeds. To be honest, I don't think any hard drive today could really pull that off even if the controller did work. Hahaha.

  • I just built a system with the P8P67 and i cant get my USB 3.0 to work. Wont read any drives 2.0 or 3.0. Drivers are updated. any help?

  • My question is with this board does it knock a single GPU from x16 to x8 while using SATA3? While its not a major GPU loss you still lose 5% performance from your card.

I know the x58 boards don't have this problem but my issue is most i5 1156 boards have this problem it seems. There a board that doesn't cause this to happen? I like SATA3 for the future but it seems like the current can't prove it can actually handle SATA3 speeds and it takes the x16 to x8 on the GPU.

  • i dont understand a bit in that vdo. he talks about mothoerboard and vdo card, but test on read and write, read what and write what?

  • @joniwhytestar hdd read and write speed

  • @joniwhytestar SLI or Xfire hinders the read/write speed of Sata3 in competitor's boards like Gigabyte

  • woow gigabyte sata 3 is allot slower then asus ones!

  • can some1 tell me wat dat program is called to test read and write

  • Will the RAM over-volting switch be good with a Kingston 2GB 1333 Mhz ??

  • @PorscheLover87 not really nessecery u dont wanna go allot above 1.65volt. u can mem controller in u cpu otherwise

  • if i use sata 6gp/s and usb 3.0 on this board will my

main pcie slot run at x16 or x8?? i'd like to know before i buy this motherboard.

  • @AL117X If you get this board, it will run at x16: Asus P7P55D-E PRO

If you want something cheaper than this one and from Asus, I am pretty sure the pcie slot will run at x8 if you use SATA3 or USB3.

  • @RebirthBeyond Thanks for the heads up

  • @DSTDave Basically the transfer rate. This simply means data transfers from one "site" (e.g a hard disk or a SSD to another site) at a rate of 6gigabytes per second.

  • Damn what is that tower case. i want one so bad but dont know were to find it.

  • Do all of the asus P55 boards have this feature? Or is this only in the pro

  • i just bought ASUS P7P55D-E PRO on ebay, its AMAZING. usb 3.0 ftw.

  • sweet

nothing can beat the performance of these P7P55D-E series in their price range

cant wait to get one for my next build
