So this is the famous Chicago Electric (Distributed by Harbor Freight) 45 Watt solar kit....
My system consists of (2) Off the shelf deep cycle marine batteries, and the same kit, and an extra 15 watt panel for a total of 60 watts. What im stumped about his how i can charge my batteries manually with a car charger, but only get a few days of power for my laptop even with it sunny every day. My batteries seem to never hold a charge and they are brand new. Do you have any ideas?
Nice solar panels. Just got my 3x6 solar cells and all my solar accessories from solar-deals(.)com. They have a huge sale! 4 days only. DIY solar panel kit $99. PV frames $39. Solar panels $129. Make your own solar panels and find all your diy solar products at solar-deals(.)com.
Hello I just got one of the Harbor Freight 45W kits for my B-day I also got that battery over charge protecter #96728. Im not sure as to how to hook it up if you could help that would be great. it has 3 set of wires coming off it Battery, Solar, Load I do not know if I need to hook it up before or after regulator. What is the load hooked to?
@AReptileMan "load" is a power out that should cut power if you drop the battery voltage too low. It's designed for light loads, not an inverter. IIRC inverters should be run directly off the battery.
how lone car you run light with 2 batter a day
