@fluffydolly: If you mean that Rod's videos were all over MTV then, that is the truth. I don't think that my mom would've let me watch so much MTV if it weren't for the Rod Stewart videos (she loved Rod). If you mean Rod's career was over by then, then someone forgot to tell my family that.

"All over", in her sense, means Rod Stewart was literally dominating MTV's airwaves in a way -- on just the first day of MTV's broadcast, Stewart had seven different music videos aired.
