Written by John Ylvisaker born 1937. He said that those born 1937 and after had rock and roll in high school and they have a different range of music experience than those earlier. I think he and Martin Luther will go down in Lutheran History as the 2 most prolific contributors to music and lyrics, song and hymn.
my brother died two months ago and a vey nice man from our church played this at his funeral this song is so powerful and beautiful i love it thank you you played that very well....actaully your playling was amazing
I love this song. I heard it for the first time Easter Sunday morning. Do you happen to know, or does any one know where I can down load a vocal version of it for my ipod. I can find all kinds of musical versions, but I would like the full meal deal.
A quick search at iTunes found a lot of instrumentals, but at least one vocal Jacque Darragh. Keep looking this is a standard that I have on other worship CDs. Thanks for the kind words.
I was inspired by a Paul Inglostvad cover, but I would say a few embellishments were mine, and basically I sat down to try to play the melody with the chords and this came out... Dave
THANK YOU! This was song for my wedding, and the baptisms of all three of my children. I also requested it for my father's funeral. Always makes me tear up in joy and sorrow.
Thanks,Great job Dave! This one always chokes me up too. It is one of my favorites!

Nice job, very pretty. What key is this in? Where did you find this guitar arrangement or did you just come up with it on your own?
