I can remember when in far away NZ a blues group called The Underdogs won the song of the year with this song but were not allowed to be presented with their award as this was not their originally written song (at this time I did not know that John Mayall existed - it one of his songs) so they never got the award. This was about in 1965 just after we were allowed to go to night clubs and listen to music.
This song was written by Mayall but the Gutarist is Peter Green John McVie the bass player and Aynsly Dunbar the drummer. Initially it wasn't an album track but was issued as a single on Jan 13th 1967 by Decca
Bought the album the week it came out. Great to have the singles on an album. This is a poppy jaunt for the band with a very catchy melody. Great memories.

Very nice video, a real little homage to John Mayall. Thumb up!

This song was first known to me as a cover by a NZ band called The Underdogs. Try a search on this site. They did a more electric version
