Ok, I'll agree with some of the ideas put forth here, but with caveats. We need to end chain immigration and I believe we have all the landscapers and dishwashers we need now from Mexico. We need to enforce the laws already on the books and gain control of our Southern border before we decide what's to be done with the 11 million+ illegal immigrants already here. Simply changing our rhetoric wont solve anything. It has to be about more than just winning elections.

I don't think the argument presented in the video is valid. Family is typically a road to legitimate immigration. I doubt there's much realistic fear of grandma, who's lived in the country for a long time, has roots there, and paid taxes, etc. etc. is going to get deported. A sensible solution - fine. Let's start by being honest.

If the border was closed, really CLOSED, then something could be worked on for the illegals in this country. My question is what part of the word ILLEGAL don't y'all understand. I am a 32/white male from South Texas.  In the past, I have voted Republican. This past elecition I voted Democratic throughout because of the Republican's anti-immigrant rhetoric.
