does anyone have the clip where they played carlins stand up and ripped on him for being a liberal preacher who just was rambling on with "words"? This was before they had him on as a guest, and bill burr was in studio.
What's happened to America is that you've got 2 types of people: arrogant people and guilty people. The problem is, neither one wants to make the necessary changes. The arrogant people don't recognize the problem, and the guilty people think they can solve problems purely with their and other people's money. It doesn't matter if it gets results as long as you're left with a clean conscience.
They are right about the empire thing. Empires always fall apart eventually. In the modern world, empires definitely don't last as long. I think by halfway through this century, the US will lose a great deal of power. Even the most stable empires have always declined, and the US is far from stable.
@madpaintbalerx every empire eventually ends or if your from my country the UK, it has ended but people walk around and talk like it hasnt and still think we are an imperiail superpower who has a queen over a empire. Its fucking embarrissing

If we are not careful, America will end up a 3rd world country... Give it 20-30 more years. Another Mexico!

I like George Carlin. I really do. I just hope people don't view him as some kind of political ideal. He's a cynical, RELATIVELY smart, conspiracy theorist. He's a good comic. He isn't who you should look up to for your political inspiration. The comment about beheadings was just absurd. Of course the pretenses that put the people into those places were MORE absurd, but to say that they had what was coming to them? He's a grumpy old man, with points of view as ossified as anyone's.
R.I.P. George Carlin. A man who not only made us laugh with his genius jokes, but made us think and reflect as citizens of this world on all the bs that's killing us as a society.
I always feel like a better human being everytime I see one of his HBO specials.
Some comedians like Lewis Black have followed his style and do a great job, but George Carlin is in a league of his own.
Oh, he wasn't all about negativity and pessimism. He used to say if you scratch a cynic, you'll find a disappointed idealist. He was actually very optimistic about Obama and the election of 2008 right before he died, it actually made him feel hopeful about the future for a change and he was just an all around kind and caring human being.

Howard wanted to get into radio when he was 5. Opie and Anthony wanted to get on radio the first time they heard Howard. They are his students, they owe their careers to him. They should apologize to him, it would be the best radio they've ever done.
If you ever heard them, they said YEARS ago over and over that they credited him with being a HUGE influence and that they looked up to him. They hate him now because when they tried to parody him the same way he's parodied himself, he cried like a little bitch. Howard lost his sense of humor years ago. O & A still know how to laugh and actually spend alot of time laughing at themselves. They admit their shortcomings. Howie would never do that because he's "perfect".
Okay. So they admitted a "HUGE" influence. and that they look up to him. the king. I love that howard had the earned power to put a gag order on them. I think it's great. George Carlin rules. He says what a lot of people think and are afraid to admit

Carlin is right. Lately the left has been trying to censor free speech.

Oh, and the right hasn't. Everytime there's a movie or offensive anti christian lyrics they're trying to censor free speech. Come on guy be fair.

When did I say the right stopped doing it? They still try to censor it. But the left is doing it now as well.
