Why on Earth did it take me 2 years to find this video? I am jealous of all those who have been able to see any Beatle in concert. John died 4 yrs before I was born and by the time I was old enough to truly appreciate the Beatles George was gone. That can't be possible. The Beatles' White Album was released in November 1968, Led Zeppelin did not form as a band until around the same time the White Album came out and did not release their first studio album until early 1969.

From the many books and articles that I have read, this song is actually a reference to a playground slide that Paul played on as a child. It is unfortunate that some lunatic (i.e., Charles Manson) had a total mis-interpretation of this song as an excuse for his crimes. If you are refering to the clip here on Youtube called The Beatles - Helter Skelter At Studio then that is not a clip of them recording Helter Skelter. In that particular clip they're recording songs for the album "Let it be", and Helter Skelter was on the White Album released earlier. It's also obvious that it's not Helter Skelter they're recording by looking at Paul's mouth and the rhythm of their playing.
