  • I was expecting "I've got blisters on my fingers!" at the end.

  • thanks for this!! how cool...wish I could have been there

  • Finally! Someone on the internet who knows how to hold a camera steady!

  • charles mansons song

  • Son of a gun still got it.

  • FREEEE CHARLIE!!!!!!

  • LOL, not as screamy as it was...

  • Why on Earth did it take me 2 years to find this video? I am jealous of all those who have been able to see any Beatle in concert. John died 4 yrs before I was born and by the time I was old enough to truly appreciate the Beatles George was gone. Oh how I wish I had a time machine and be one of the crazy screaming girls at The Ed Sullivan Show. :D RINGOOOOOOOO!!!!! Lol

  • And the heavy was born!

  • I've heard that this song was a joke with Led Zeppellin. At that time they were in the first place in hit parede and The Beatles made this song to provoke them. Is it true?

  • @eduardoadauto1

That can't be possible. The Beatles' White Album was released in November 1968, Led Zeppelin did not form as a band until around the same time the White Album came out and did not release their first studio album until early 1969.

  • @eduardoadauto1 It was the Who. Paul heard them talking about this really heavy song they were working on so he decided to beat them to it.

  • I've heard that this song was a joke with Led Zeppellin. At that time they were in the first place in hit parede and The Beatles made this song to procke them. Is it true?

  • It was Ringo that said I've got blisters on my fingers.Get Mark Lewison book The Beatles Recording session,It hs all the information about who play what and what went on during the recording.

  • 85 people don't know that john said i've got blisters on my fingers, not ringo.

  • your CAMERA also ROCKS!!!!

  • The crowd should've screamed, "I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!"

  • You are so freaking lucky you got to see him I'm so jealous

  • paul mccartney's voice sounds kinda week on it, its like deeper but he loses his breath faster

  • @xfearXkingx the mere fact that he can still get the notes out on this song 40 years later is amazing in itself. So many artists blow their voices' effectiveness out well before McCartney's age.

  • @xfearXkingx he was f'ing 68.

  • WHat happened to the "I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS" !!!!

    =P

  • one great things about beatles....they all can sing.

  • "Watch out!" ...

  • Nice. Thanks for posting.

  • I hate that you have to live in a big city to see this sort of thing!!RY$^ Grrrr

  • great camera love the video

  • Mr. Mccartney never ages

  • Justin Bieber made two accounts to dislike this video twice.

  • @Kenny2k08 as much as i hate him i think he like the beatles to

  • good version

  • 0:21 some guys says WOO lol

  • Pete how was it announced that Paul would be performing there?

Did you have to get like tickets or could you just walk up there?

  • is Paul McCartney dead??

  • @JRBugge no

  • @JRBugge no man dont worry, u cant imitate talent like that.

  • @JRBugge He looks very much ALIVE in this video to me! :) This is great quality !

  • I was there! But my angle was not as good as this!! Awesome vid! (and awesome camera)

  • Lovely camerawork, very well done.

  • Wow!, thanks for sharing. Paul really rocks! It's quite an experience to hear AND feel Paul's music. I was upfront for the concert at the Joint last year. Excellent.

  • this is my favorite song!!!!!

  • I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!!! xD

  • @HipHopsEnemy Voted you down by mistake. Sorry!

  • jesus christ nice camera quality

  • SWEET!!! Nice, clean video...Man, Sir Paul still has it going on! Peace.

  • it sucks cuz they did a whole concert in new york but they only showed two songs on tv whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Sweet ass video my friend,Thanks for posting it.......5 stars!!!

  • oh man you actually filmed it thats soo cool

  • BEAUTIFUL!!! Way to go. Agreed about Paul's Band....Fucking Awesome.

  • It is an excellent video! VERY sharp, loving it!!!!

  • I was hoping he'd yell, "I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!"

  • @thunderstruck665

that was Ringo who had the blisters

  • He still got it! But i think he should have Ringo drum for him

  • Beatles Rule Forever!!!!!!

  • This lineup with Rusty Anderson & Brain Ray on guitars is the best post Beatles Big Macca has ever had.

They're both solid but not too flashy and both have good voices.

They breathe new life into these songs without trying to alter them.

Gig of a lifetime for them.. and a smart move on Paul's part to hire them.

  • @davinci5152 I'm not a big fan of there tones though Guitar playing is fine

  • I didn't see this on letterman......AWESOME!!!

  • sounds good

  • 60's to date... still rocking!

  • See what really annoys me is the fact that everybody thinks that John Lennon was the creative genious but they were a pair!! Lennon brought out the best in McCartney and vice versa!! McCartney is still the best songwriter living that this planet has to produce!!! FACT!!!

  • Living legend in action.

  • everyone always looks at me weird if i listen to this song. its cuz of tht damn charles manson. this rlly a wonderful tune but has a negative effect on ppl cuz an insane dude ruined it...

  • From the many books and articles that I have read, this song is actually a reference to a playground slide that Paul played on as a child. It is unfortunate that some lunatic (i.e., Charles Manson) had a total mis-interpretation of this song as an excuse for his crimes. On the other hand, two thumbs up to "peterburke73" for such vivid quality video! Rock on mates!

  • One the best tracks the band did.

Always gets a strange look when i play it back in liverpool. AMAZING TRACK

  • OMG, i love the song Helter Skelter. I wish i could have been there for this!!!

  • I'm sitting here, still waiting for the drummer to scream "I've got blisters on my fingers!"

    Guess it'll never come...

  • great great great Paul!!! wish i was there too!!

  • what happened to the "I GOT BLISTAS ON MY FINGERS!!!!!"?

  • Helter Skelter was 1 of the first heavy rock songs ever written.

  • No dude but the first modern heavy rock!!!!

  • @williambrazzers waht's the difference between mono & stereo and live? The osng sounds good to me no matter what.

  • Where is John Lennon?

  • John lennon is dead, but this is a pual mccartney show, not a BEATLES show my friend

  • I see

  • If those 2 dude are alive!!!!!!!!

  • @WiltatKansas John is dead sadly. This is after the Beatles breakup the band is called Paul McCartney & Wings. The Beatles did a rooftop concert in 1969, which is what this is similar too. Yes, some of these are beatles songs, but some are Paul McCartney's osngs or Paul & the other group he works wiht but doesn't perform wiht live called" The Fireman"

  • @4FabBEATLES Truly sad because John Lennon was the different guy of them all.

  • 1980

  • @peaceluvvingchica* Hey dude, John Lennon died on december 8th 1980 outside the Dakota Building in New York, New York. Anything else I can do for you dude?

  • You were 100 feet away from the greatest human being ever

  • i listen to this song on the bus and it totally surronds me n i cant hear anything tht goes on around me i love it my friend today who listens to nothing but hip hop came up to me when i was listening to this a loud as possible she poked and i paused it and said "You l.isten to Rock?" and i nodded i laughed at her

  • i was listenin to this the other day on the bus lol.Wen im on the way home i listen to alot of beatles and t rex:D

  • Damn this laptop, it cannot handle the awesome 1080 quality! You sir are a hero.

  • Damn 1080 HD!!!

    sick!!! nice camera mate

  • Cheers! It's the Canon 5D Mark II, shoots incredible HD video. Wish I had a tripod to stabilize the shot, but hey, I'm just glad I was there!

  • You could stabilize it with a motion tracker (After Effects has one that would work wonders here).

  • @peteburke73 well it looks awesome

  • @peteburke73 On behalf of all music lovers - I thank you! God bless!

  • This tune is just as fresh today as it was almost 40 years ago. Amazing.

  • omg... this gives me chills! I grew up listening to the Beatles!! Wish I coulda been there.. only about 4 hours south of NY! Love you Paul!

  • damn! 1080 HD!!!

  • Wow. Paul has kept is vocal muscles nice and strong. I was expecting his voice to crack up halfway in the song.

  • the drummer should have screamed "I've got blisters on my fingers!"

  • only ringo can do that ;)

  • @dugoutpimp yesss thats the best part!! i listen to that song from beginning to very end just to hear that.

  • @dugoutpimp Yeah he did haha. I love this song, it's amazing.

  • @dugoutpimp nah, you can't duplicate Ringo.

  • @TDubsesbueno the one that really say "I've got blisters on my fingers! is john lennon watch the video helter skelter at studio

  • @ielizondo44

I thought Ringo was the one yelling this

  • @ielizondo44 It's Ringo who yells it after throwing his drumsticks across the room. If you are refering to the clip here on Youtube called The Beatles - Helter Skelter At Studio then that is not a clip of them recording Helter Skelter. In that particular clip they're recording songs for the album "Let it be", and Helter Skelter was on the White Album released earlier. It's also obvious that it's not Helter Skelter they're recording by looking at Paul's mouth and the rhythm of their playing.

  • @ielizondo44 Eh, no, it's Ringo. They've been playing for hours while making the song, and Ringo yelled that out basically as an excuse to take a break.

  • @dugoutpimp DUDE the one that really say "I've got blisters on my fingers! is john lennon watch the video helter skelter at studio

  • thanks guy - this is the coolest!

(and as good quality as the CBS official clip!)

    historic///

  • I got BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!

  • one of my favorite song of the Fab four

  • aw, this is awesome!!! love it!

  • Amazing quality. thank you sir.

  • thanks =)

  • Mr., McCartney- YOU STILL GOT IT! YIppyyyyy- we love you! Thanks for rocking on and onnnn!!!!!!

  • Amazing. Great band too.

  • He also played this last night in Arnhem. Absolutely magnificent!

  • dude what camera did you take this in?

  • Canon 5D Mark II HD Mode

  • Canon 5D Mark II, HD Mode.

  • @peteburke73 sweet vision dude

  • if he playing on the late show dont u think it would be dark out side haha

  • I love the category this video is in. XD

  • lol i checked

  • That's great, I didn't realize it was under "Pets & Animals," I just changed it.

  • @peteburke73 ......oh yeah He's a pet & an animal alright ! :)

  • I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!

  • absolut fantastic. Paul with his great band on a roof top and plays beatles. and the wonderful hofner bass

  • you can tell the difference between the guitar palying paul is doing and the other guys (paul's sounds more original ofcourse)

  • paul is playin bass u joke, the bass sounds good any case

  • he's talking about the original recording where paul played rhythm guitar

  • How many songs did he do here? I've seen this, Get Back, Sing the Changes so far... now links to the right indicate Band on the Run and Coming Up also? Anything else I'm missing?

  • yah know what i think is messed up? they let him play there live but back in 1969, the cops stopped em. WTF.

  • Speechless... The best rocker in history

  • I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!!!!!

  • so weird that this song is the one that influenced Charles Manson.. it makes no sense

  • maybe thats cause Manson is insane

  • is that really true???

  • im going to see him on são paulo in april 2010 ;)

  • wiehoeoeoeooe i`m gonna see Paul mcCartney in Holland 9 december

  • Jeez! That's all I can say...

  • 67 and still rocking it's great isn't?

  • Excellent quality on this video, both visually and sound wise. What an honor to be able to see this historic performance.

McCartney and the band were very sharp in this performance. Truly an amazing man, a living legend ahead of his time. Looks great for his age too.

  • You might like our version too!
