Can someone please tell me how I can get more of this music? I listened to Byla years ago, and keep coming back sporadically because I do not know how to get more of their music. I've searched some, but I don't know anything about what albums they might have or anything. Please help!
@ply771 You can buy both their self-titled and their collaborative album with Jarboe through itunes (if you use it) or Amazon.com as well. I've never seen either albums in any stores, so I'd say getting them online is your best bet. They are well worth it!
This gives me a sense of purgatory. Just the entire lack of any purpose to these two hooded people walking about a nondescript landscape imparts lonliness, futility and isolation. Just a dead world that fades out in a haze of gray. Awesome stuff.
I bought this album upon release on a whim knowing both artists in previous bands. I've been a fan of ambient music for years too so the choice felt right. It feels like fate almost. It's still one of my favourite songs and definitely one of my favourite record. It challenges Stars Of The Lid for a place on my sleepytime playlist. Wonderful music well worth while.
astonishing. so delicate and yet so powerful and...strangely dark. it makes me think about solitude in an almost lovecraftian way...a solitude haunted by strange, recurrent dreams, childish memories and melanchony. maybe the isolation of an old man...left all with his thoughts, dreams and memories, in his old empty house, alone...this song is a trip by itself. big up to byla.
I just got 'Viscera' by Byla & Jarboe and it's amazing =D Everybody who's heard me listen to it keeps complaining it's boring, or not music or whatever, but I think it's a great album!
@Michielvdwerff Haha, right on! People who say it's boring don't get it. It's not something to put on in your car or go nuts to at a party. It's just... for you, i reckon
