The connection is made through a proxy (that blocks the ads). Connection lost when proxy server is down (turned off, unplugged, burnt, ...) well you get it ^^

The proxy does not block ads. The reason you dont hear ads (if this works) is beacause the country the proxy is situated in doesn't have ads in spotify.

you can configure your proxy server to block ads anyway.

With webproxys on webpages yes.. Do you even know how this stuff works? How would the proxyserver know what is music and what is ads? And how would it be able to block certain audiostream?
