@MsPilot747 Hey, hows it going? Can you please advise me how I can become a pilot? Whats the first thing I need to do as I have just finished college? Do I need any special qualifications?
@ACoverGuitar no matter how used to a joystick you are, I think a yoke will still definitely feel more comfortable and controllable than a little joystick
@granzukakoko of course autopilot is OFF before takeoff, but usually before T/O CLB and NAV modes are armed. Why arent they armed here? This is nothing got to do with lufthansa or aeroflot.
The normal precedure is not 15°, that is just an approximate value. This value varies depending on the Takeoff Weight of the aircraft. It can be more or even less. Normally, after departure the standard procedure is to maintain V2 + 10.
most new jets the pilots are just there in case something goes wrong and to monitor everything. It's set to autopilot and the plane has computer guidance. I think the pilots only take off and land the plane.
@4rlorenti There exists autopilots that can handle everything except the taxiing. But it also depends on the airport. Major airports, especially those prone to adverse weather conditions have such systems installed. Minor airports and smaller aircraft generally don't possess this capability.
@4rlorenti The pilots are still controlling the jet, this is one thing people can't seem to understand. Yes, the autopilot can handle the flying of the aircraft but the pilots conduct the flight and tell the autopilot what to do while talking to ATC and configuring the systems and control surfaces.
@mboy3515 Believe me it's quite tricky but as the captain was once an FO and therefore has "right-hand" experience, he already has a feeling for the aircraft.
In several of these takeoff and landing videos I noticed a nasty drumbeat of the nosegear when the nose is exactly on the center line. Couldn't those reflectors have been more flush to the runway surface?

I just realized that if you get promoted from co-pilot to captain, we're supposed to get used to using the joystick with your left!! :/

@guisantenuclear me to. i seriously don't know how you can comfortably control a aircraft with one hand on a little joystick

@The10diamonds after you do anything long enough, it becomes second nature.
