Nonsense. There's a lot of ego involved and no boy wants to quit in front of a coach and the team. Fact is, that "coach" had a two hour practice for these boys in 94 degree heat. Sorry but that's just insane. He should be found guilty and I hope he is.
@EdwardBoo1 Funny thing is...he wasnt found guilty and youre a piece of shit for thinking that he should have been. He's an amazing coach and im proud to have played for him until he stepped down. Fuck you
WOW the parents are sueing? thats bullshit the kid wanted to play football now sum guys life is gunna be ruined becuz of a simple accident i mean shit the football coach aint a doctor hes a coach.isnt there a realse the parents sign saying sumthing about death related injurys
yea, but not when the coach refuses to give the player water. thats stupidity... 100 degrees o water full pads... the coach was asking for something to happen
I obviously feel bad that the player died. But, football is a brutal sport. Unless the coach wouldn't give him water, the coach should not be found guity.
In a high school environment, it's the coach's job to make sure the kids are well-hydrated. The coach should take some responsibility, but I admit he shouldn't be punished too harshly for it.
coaches never care about the players all they care about is the record

I am so sick of people hiding behind their religion. The fact that this coach apparently is a "God-fearing Christian" is totally irrelevant.

It's a shame another child died at football practice but unless the coach refused to hydrate the players, he shouldn't be held responsible.

Focusing only on winning creates this kind of tradgedy. Sport ethics needs to be a more widely debated mainstream issue.

I just hope it wasn't anything like that movie "Varsity Blues" where the coach is too crazy..
