  • damn it, he's just tooooo good! I'm such a shit drummer. i can't work out his rhythm changes i have to bluff it and hope it comes alright eventually.

  • i dont no wat 2 say. i just love brufford

  • indeed one of the top 10 all time best drummers.

  • anyone know what sticks hes using? I want to say he's using 7a's but I can't be sure, he also seems to have a different end on his left stick than his right, that or he's holding the left one backwards.

  • FINALY THE TRIPLICITY´S THEME... AMAZING!!!!

  • a mere walk in the park for a drummer of his calibre......that flat set up makes for boring visuals though.........

  • That was no solo! Bill can play a heck of lot better than that and he didn't even break a sweat, when you are sweating your playing. He was so much better back in the late 60's and during the 70's.

  • What are u talking about dude? I dont see ur point. Bill was and is fantastic drummer. My favourite drummer. His style...

  • Please explain to me what you do not understand about my comments. I saw Yes in England when they first came out and Bill was so great and kept getting better. He is great, but in this video he is just messing around. Watch his solo's with Yes, they are wonderful. I copied him some. Take care.

  • @keysB3P You said "that was no solo" But it is. I know Yes very well and probably I've seen most of his solos. Not every of them are classic solos concepts but this is BB:)! In my opinion he had one of the biggest influence of the modern drumming nowadays. Saying: "He was so much better back in the late 60's and during the 70's." is very very stupid my friend. As a drummer (maybe not the best;)) I can say BB always was very characteristic.

    Rgrds.

  • We will have to agree to disagree a bit, but, I do not understand why you are calling me "very, very, stupid", you do not know me at all and never will. I am 58 and was a touring pro keyboardist/drummer/vocalist for 40 years. I have two degrees, one in music that I received in my 20's. Please re-read your posts as they are not well written. I am glad you know Yes, I met them once in England when they played in a larg Pub, they were so very nice and my eyes were glued to Bill. All the best.

  • @keysB3P I thought it was pretty killing. YOu don't have to get dripping wet to work it out. His playing interests me. It's a little unusual. I'm a jazz fan. Haven't checked him out a ton.

  • @ChrisCoplandDrums No, you do not have to get dripping wet to play a good solo, I've played jazz drums for sometime, rock and country. I am a keyboardist who is a multi instrumentalist and from all the comments on my comment on Bills solo I should have said, the solo was very good but I have seen him play much better but that does not mean is was dripping wet either. I was real interested in his playing when I first heard him till I mastered the way he plays then I went on to others.

  • Bruford is THE GOD OF DRUMERS

  • I know that not many people consider the drums a melodic instrument, but Bill Bruford has somehow turned the drums into a melodic instrument! lololol!!

  • If I ever thought I had polyrhythmic skills, now I don't. :|

  • great drum solo

  • great as always. bruford is so unique! he didnt seem to happy with the guy who left during the solo. but, maybe the guy had explosive diarrhea!hahahaha
