Beautiful birds. Kept flying face first into the window but when I put my hand out, he flew up and landed on my hand. They the most beautiful feather and feel soft and silky. They are a Night jar species bird, not an owl.
@TheNakedWombat - Thanks for the info. I never heard of a Nightjar. I think of a night-jar as something kept by the bed at night. But, since you know about the Nightjar, was it sort of ill looking, eyes sunken. I don't know what it is supposed to look like, but this beautiful winked creature looks distressed. Can you tell me?
@unanimous300 I won't try to be Vet here so I'll leave that. If you google images of the Tawny Frogmouth, you'll see that they blend in perfectly with trees. They often will sit upright looking up at the sun. While they look a bit scary and rough to touch, their feathers are actually very soft and silky to touch. I've had one land on my hand when it flew in and got trapped in our house. They are a beautiful bird.
Poor little bugger. I've seen a Tawny flushed out of a tree during the day by much smaller birds, perhaps that happened to this one. What became of it?
That's a very beautiful place those people are living at :) Oh my gosh! :D I want to hug that owl, it's so beautiful! :D Look at him looking at us :D <3 I want to have an owl someday :)
60 bucks an hour???? This is now on the list of the many reasons I hate living in the U.S and want to go just about anywhere else. Minus shitholes of course.
I would dress in a tutu, put fishhooks through my tittie nipples, hang dumbbells from my sack, bust walnuts with my asscheeks and change my name to Toby for 60 bucks an hour living in a bitchin' area like that. You should be cleaning her windows with your tongue and polishing the brass with your nutsack for that money.
Pretty damn cool!

My guess is that it crashed into a window overnight and is a bit dazed. The resemblance to owls is only superficial; they are in a different order.
