Pilot released 2007.
2009: title finalized as Kiddy Girl-and, studio changed to Satelight and some character changes. Manga Kiddy girl-and Pure also announced, first vol. out now, chapter 7 due out in Comp Ace at the end of the month.
While the manga was released before the anime first neither is based on the other - both written by Hidefumi Kimura.

Never seen kiddy grade, but i'm enjoying kiddy girl and pretty much.
looking like a good old sf anime (there're so less and less animes taking place in the universe nowadays) with attractive characters.
