Even I ask myself: how can we grieve the passing of someone we knew but only through her music? And the answer to that is testament to the quality of the music that Whitney Houston set for all other singers that came after her, and testament to the intimacy created by her incomparably amazing voice in the hearts of those who grew up listening to her music. No other female voice was greater than hers; even the legends that came before her acknowledged that.

Even if a performer does it live as good as the recorded ones, you still hear it isn't exactly the same. I don't hear any sign of a live performance. She isn't in the recordingstudio, so there ought to be a difference in sound, timing, phrasing, techniques, effects ... The only difference I hear is the output of the source, because it's not coming directly out of my radio.

It's a shame though that they only loved her for this and not for who she was, I mean people who don't speak good of her now. We need to look at her as a human being and as a person. She was just like us all, human, and beautifull inside as outside. Now I learn that more and more.

I used to just sit there, stunned as she sang a song, and when she'd rise in fierce revelry towards the end, I'd say to myself, "Unbelievable."

damn she skinny!!! sexy though back in her prime. But yes she is an amazing singer...but here she is lip singing...but it makes since for this performance. Artist lip sing all the time to save their voice for big events or up close and personal events. Most artists lip sing concerts or large shows...to save on their voice power. it normal! lol duh! @citizenlen are you sure, all these peter popshow performances sound awfully close to the recorded ones. Even if a performer does it live as good as the recorded ones, you still hear it isn't exactly the same. I don't hear any sign of a live performance. She isn't in the recordingstudio, so there ought to be a difference in sound, timing, phrasing, techniques, effects ... The only difference I hear is the output of the source, because it's not coming directly out of my radio.

@hawkesbayboy1 This is a stadium FILLED up with people. This isn't some small shabby tv studio. So, why would she lip synch when she can sing? Do you have proof that she isn't singing LIVE? She has her mouth directly over the mic as people do when they're actually singing. Usually when people are lip synching they hold the mics any old kind of way. So, are you sure about your lip synch claim or is her singing so effortless you can't believe she's really singing?

@CheckMate657879 Nothing wrong with doing the L thing but this is clearly the studio version of the song. Check out 2:17 She obviously thinks something is up with the mic (probably wondering if the mic is still off) and she does something weird with her tongue at 2:19 yet the music comes thru perfectly. Dont get me wrong, she was and i say WAS a singer perfectado!!!!
