I have never seen one of these in stainless. Now i need one of those as well as the tactical plinkster.Come see my vids on my customized 702 loved the vid.
I bought my Mossburg 702 and Dicks Sporting Goods for about $120, it has a camoflage stock and a hooded sight. My dad fired it today and it shoots well, no miss fires or anything. I am thinking about getting a scope for it so I can actually see the target better.
Good .22 LR ammo- I use federal or winchester X. I like the winchester but its a little more expensive than federal. Hope this helps anyone who needed to know avout ammo
If i were to get this type of gun what would be your recomended ammo choice?
Sorry , kinda new to this whole thing.. I have a pelet gun but im lookn to get somthing with a little more kick. Not so sure on ammunition... What would you recomend?
This is an excellent rifle to have for recreation especially. It is very reliable as long as you use the right kind of ammo. CCI Stinger works really well for me the only ammo that I've had trouble with is Remington .22 thunderbolt. But overall it's a great gun
Great shooting!!!! I picked one up as part of a trade for some tires I had. I've been trying to find Magazines that have a higher Capacity than the 10rd. Where did you get the magazine? I'd truly appreciate your help!!!!
i bought this rifle from walmart for $90 along with extra magazines ($10 each). its the first gun that i owned and the most accurate .22 i have shot (simmons scope attached). very pleased with the 702 and would highly recommend it for first time shooters or anyone who loves target practicing. GREAT GUN!!!
you guys are so lucky ,over here in the uk we need to get a fire arms ticket and a gunlocker that you can lock the gun away in ,thats even before you can buy the gun then you have to prove that you have a safe and secure place to fire it ,what do you have to do to be able to buy theese sort of weapons
@hunterkiller45 you have to be 18 years old with no felonys or violent crimes on your record. for handguns you have to be 21. some states may be different this is coming from virginia.
AKs and ARs are a cinch to disassemble. civilian guns, jeez, they make it so damned complicated. my 22 semi auto took me a day to figure out, but my friends AR was about 10 minutes and the AK was about 30 minutes (mind you i had no prior training or instruction) but my lil winchester .22 was intense.
plinkster's best off-hand without a scope in my opinion. i can get tighter groups than that w/o the scope at 10 yards from the 16" barrel. $99 for a tack driver.
oh very nice. btw i think we were friends before O_O haha but i will accept again =) yeah scopes here in Htown are quite expensive. mil dot scopes here would be about 50-100 something so yeah. haha i would stick to a nonbatter operated scope =) do you think its possible to attach a bipod to a Mossberg 702?
@SuperDwang Yes it is. I just don't know how. I've seen someone with a bipod on theirs. I think it's the clamp style one, where it just clamps onto the barrel/stock.
ohh. yeah Mossberg would be good if they didn't lack the selling of aftermarket accessories. I think i will go to Academy and get it and maybe do a youtube review on it. would be my first vid. haha. oh btw my opinion but you should get a bigger scope then the $20 one u got on :P I got a bushnell on mine ^^
lol we should just mass spam them about it haha. Hm Have u ever had the Thumbhole/tip down stock before? I may purchase it but I am not sure. you should do a review on that stock if you get the chance too =)
@SuperDwang I've heard of that stock and I've seen it, but I never used it. I want to though. It looks cool and looks like it would be comfortable. the only thing is, according to Mossberg, they don't sell any stocks by themselves. So I'd have to buy another whole gun. Another thing Mossberg needs to do. (sell individual stocks)
I have this one and attached a scope to it and man the accuracy! haha I guess you can say my 702 is my sniper rifle :P only problem with the Moseberg is i cant find any high cap mags =( sad =/
@SuperDwang Yes. That is the problem everyone is having. Including myself. This gun would be GREAT with an extended mag and it would be easy to make. SO MAKE IT ALREADY, MOSSBERG!! lol
I have told Mossberg that before. you should send them an email about it and maybe they will eventually do it.
I use the same stuff. Bulk ammo. This gun is probably the gun that jams the most out of my collection. But none of my guns jam much. Jam ratio is probably 1:700
The Mossberg 702 was my first gun,but I paid 250$ for it. But the the rifle came with a custom folding hand grip, thumb grip, and front sight cover, you think I got riped off?
Eh... not really. It depends on what stock. Some stocks can cost 100 dollars and if it did then that alone would make the value go up to 240. By front sight cover, I'm assuming you mean the headed bead post. That comes with all standard 18" barrel models. So like I said, it depends, but for the most part it probably wasn't that bad. Where did you get it?
I got it from a local gun store. I was going to get a 10/22 ruger, but It was to expensive so I got the cheapest but most nice looking 22. rifle I could find. You think I would get better deals online?
I have 10/22 target model and I enjoy shooting my mossberg more even know it's a little less accurate. I think you could've found a better price online, yes. but if you buy it online you will either need a FFL licesne, or have your local dealer have it shipped to his store which will cost more money, and if he already has that gun, then he will usually not buy it because, he has to make money on it.
Hi. You stated at 3:29 referring to the magazine that it had a "speed loader attachment". Could you explain that please. I was looking at the Mossberg 802 plinkster bolt action model. Do you know anything about that model. I am in a wheelchair and I am in need of bolt action, lightweight, short, and I was told by my rangemaster that the Mossberg semi-autos are "jam o matics". Do you find this to be so? anyway, I would appreciate explanation "speedloader attachment" plus any info on 802. JAMES
I have actually never seen an 802 in my life to be honost so I can't tell you much about it. The 702 almost never jams. The Savage Mark II GY is shorter than the 702 or the 802, however it is a little heavier. I hate when people tell me how much their gun jams, because 99% of the time, it doesn't jam for me. I don't know if it's how I clean my firearms or not, but I just almost never have jams. The "speed loader attachment" isn't REALLY a speedloader attachment, it's just the magazine catch,
what type of ammo do you use?mine jams often,i use the brick ammo that you can buy.ive heard that the qaulity of ammo may have something to do with that.
i have this in like a hunting camo paint... the black and chrome looks SO sick
