I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices. They take a lot of their songs down a step, and they have been doing it with the songs from their old album only to vary their performance a bit since they've been playing them for years.

Many bands do it, though, simply because some falsetto's are pretty difficult, and they probably could do it, but if you screw up, you look stupid. So my guess would be that's it.
