The debate here reminds me of what my guru maharaj always tells me...if you ever get entangled in internal or external arguments about duality, just ask yourself, "so what?" If Buddha is not Shiva, so what? If there is God, so what? If there is no God, so what? The fact that you argue shows you are immature. Drop all ideas and merge with the still silence, that's the realm of absolute truth. The moment you stop fighting, with others and internally over ideologies, you begin your journey.

Buddha was a great human in flesh & blood lived on this earth few thousand years ago. But, Shiva is the supreme God.

I think, I differentiated.

Next .. 'know thy first' - Many spirutualists have been telling that for ages, yet many could not in their life time and some satisfied with what they understood. But, th at is an eternal search.

I resonate to Shivoham, and Shiva as well, in the same way that I resonate towards the verse "I am that I am" and the sense of Oneness... free of dualism. I believe that whilst we need to respect differences, we also need to look beyond the labels and see the connecting factors in all beliefs.

I do not believe (personally) that Buddha would be offended by having his image placed next to a Hindu Mantra. If people benefit from it, then it is a good thing.

You must also take into perspective of Buddhists whose path have been eliminated from India due to the fusion of Buddha in the Hindu Religion. Most Buddhists have no conception of God as an Ultimate reality, therefore placing Buddha in this vid only encourages the elimination of Buddhism as a way of thought and just another path of Hindusim, which it is not. I am all for meditation and peace, and becoming one with whatever it is, but I also know that presenting facts is important as well.

sup bro, yes Buddha is different from shiva. Its fact as well, since Buddha was human. But besides all that, I am one to agree with universal brotherhood as long as it doesn't serve only one purpose. Lets put it to perspective do you think if Shiva was buddha, he would renounce god? I mean I prolly could go on for long time and debate with hundreds of people but the true is these are two different paths but their goals are the same, just like with every religion.

Well, as per this song - Upnishada - Not just Buddha, but all of us ..all we human...all animals..all trees...all the water ..air ..everything is Shiva ( just an adjective for God).

& that God isn't a Hindu Lord...but Lord of everyone.. Per Hindu ideology as well, God has no image or physical appearance - it's nothing, but the truth which is around us...

Shiva and Buddha both are the same. Shivoham is the concept which encompasses the route to self-realization. Buddha was also on the same path of self-realization. Hence, whatever pics you put up, the concept remains unchanged. Its about realizing that "brahman" within all of us and e'thing around us is the same. That's unity and thats advaita ! You used buddhist images for a hindu god.Maybe it will be wise to use hindu images of Shiva instead of those related to Buddha. The song has a lack of sanskrit, it is made in west, I believe. Anyway, nice try for the singer and a nice try for you to build a video...
