Johnny is a truly nice guy. I gave him my toy Jaguar, with no tires, when I was about 6 or 7 instead of asking for an autograph. He switched on his microphone to tell the audience and said that I couldn't afford the tires. Made my day!

Oh no, Johnny is alive and well, and he recorded this in 1993. He recorded his first Christmas album in 1958, but this wasn't on it. Since then, he's done another 7 or 8 Christmas albums. This song was from the David Foster Christmas Album.
