Hydrocity is still my favorite stage out of any sonic game. I like the first 2 levels in sonic 3 but the rest are boring. Ice Cap was okay but too repetitive. All the levels in Sonic and Knuckles are done superbly and lots of fun to play especially sandopolis stage 2.

I tried look up a video of Sonic and Knuckles 1st boss on YouTube, but that didn't happen. Anywho, I'm just curious since you managed to get 100% on these games and wanted to know if you noticed Knuckles' levels being any harder.

Hey CJ. When you played Knuckles' levels in Sonic & Knuckles did you notice if they were any harder than Sonic's? I did my research on wikia (if that's research lol) and they support some of the things I remember. EggRobo is trickier than Eggman. For example, the first boss bottle has you jumping over spiked logs while fighting Eggman/EggRobo. Sonic only avoids one at a time, and Knux sometimes dodges two for instance. Also I could have sworn my PC version mentioned harder levels for Knuckles.

i completly agree with you about sonic 3 alone, the only good points are

-its replaced sonic 2s incredably hard emeralds pipline with the cool special blue ball eat thingy zone.

2-ice cap zone music is beautiful and the final boss music for robotnik(sonic 3 alone ONLY)is the best and coolest yet. but this is mute since the invention of youtube.

Mostly fair reviews, but Sonic 3 & Knuckles = My favorite game of all time. Best level design and music of the classic triology. But I agree there's absolutely no point in buying either alone. Other than that, true classics, some of the best games I've ever played.

@soranamineforever I can understand that. I wish I had the nastolgia factor for them, but sadly I don't. I definitely have to give them credit for connecting the games. It almost seems unfair to rate Sonic 3 and Knuckles as a game since you can't buy it, you have to buy both games. For what it was it was great.

Well, to be fair, I don't have the nostalgia factor for them either. Nor do I need it. But while I agree it would be slightly unfair to rate them as a combined game, its how most of the fanbase (myself included) views the game.

I can see how the fanbase could consider it one game since it was supposed to be one game but since you can't play Sonic 3 and Knuckles without one or the other it's by default two games, at least that's the way I see it.

Just to be contrary, the Mega Collection has it as one game by default. So does the Classic Collection on the DS.

On the Mega Collection, I think you do. But its there by default on the Classic Collection. All the same, I do see what you're getting at: On the original Genesis cartridges, you had to buy both seperately, at full price. There I see you're point, but they're still inseperable in my eyes. Eh, to each his own and all that.

I know it's your opinion & all but in my opinion I always thought Launch Base shouldn't even consider to be a final level. It's like Sonic 4 as in we can't judge it by just one episode but the only true way is to see as a whole. Also I know what you mean as the 3 sprite kinda of bugged me at first but I got over since I noticed the design is a precursor to sonic's design in sonic 4 since they look similar when you think about the transistions of his sprites. Like 3, I wish Sonic 2 was complete
