  • I like this type of endurance training. I shadow boxing all the time and jog as well. I'm all for what you're doing and agree that conditioning like this is overlooked.

  • I'm loving all the workouts!!! keeping me storng!!!!

  • these aren`t punches get a heavy bag and punch it a 1000 times a day for a year u will be the strongest fighter alive its a good exercise though for staying in shape good job

  • @blackeroni - We're on the same page! That is the second phase of this workout, to do the same workouts 1,000 - 10,000 Cardio Punches with focus mitts, then alternate and do the same workouts with a heavy bag. Variety is the spice of life, especially with workouts. Thanks for your comment!

  • I love this, I think this will keep my shoulder from hurting by strengthening my muscles involved in arms, when i shadow box now.

  • @Dcdatruth85 - That's exactly why I developed this workout. The main thing to remember is not to advance to quickly to the next thousand punches until you've done each workout at least 2 weeks for at least twice a week. Good luck and thanks for commenting!

  • Thanks for your comment Dogmaticus. This is indeed not shadowboxing in the traditional sense as you so clearly defined. It is a high-rep aerobic arm & shoulder workout simply meant to push the muscle groups involved in punching to the limit with the ultimate goal to be 10,000 punches. Done at least once a week, I garantee you that arm fatigue will not be one of your problems when boxing, especially when you do this workout with focus mitts or a heavy bag. Thanks again and keep on keepin' on.

  • hmm this is not good at all

of course its a workout , it will get you in shape and you can lose weight by it

but thats not shadowboxing at all

you need to put all the power you've got in to every single thrown punch , you arent using your weight behind your punches nor your hip .

  • For those who like longer workouts, see these and longer workouts on my Vimeo channel (see my homepage). This ten part series of high rep punching workouts will end with the 10,000 Punches Shadow-boxing Workout or 10 sets of the 1,000 Punch Workout with no rest, no time limit, just make it. For you insane punchers I'm sure timing yourself will be irresistable . Stay tuned.

  • im a huge fan!!! i love your diversity of your videos!!!

  • gd workout u must of bin geting hot towards the end good stamina and great technique thanx for the vid

  • Very observant, the punches in the 1,000 punch workout are shadow boxing punches rather than full punches. This workout is all about giving you a punching endurance workout. To get the full benefit of this workout as a real boxer or fighter, do the same workout striking a heavy bag or with a partner holding focus mits. When you are actually striking something, the bag you are striking drains energy from your arms and also helps in punching power endurance. Thanks for your comment.

  • .... that's not a punch.
