Just saw this in Sydney for the 2012 new years eve concert. It was just perfect!

Was an outdoor concert, they were on during sunset. I'd look at the stage and see the line of apartment buildings moving behind the Pet Shop Boys. I'd then look to the right of me, and see essentially the same view, a long line of tall apartment buildings in Pyrmont against the velvet evening sky. That day, this song was playing in Sydney, and whole city was just part of the stage.

Me too! I was in this concert and it was incredible, awesome and creative! Better than Bon Jovi's and Elton John's that I went to recently. It's much more than singing and playing an instrument, there are people dancing, there's art, coreography, orchestra symphony. I'm really glad I had the privilege of seeing such thing!

I'm going to be the odd fan out and say that the album version is better. The 7 inch remix removes a lot of what made the album mix so good (the bass-ic oomph behind the song is lacking), the transitions are choppy, and it's littered with frilly bits of 'change for the sake of it' that add nothing. But then, it's still an awesome song, so...PSB rule! Just got 'Christmas' today, and it's great. :)

I can always discard half the tracks on recent albums as mediocre. There were no throw-aways on Behaviour.

'King Of Rome' was the highpoint on Yes.

Bilingual contains the worst PSB song ever. Metamorphosis. Horrible. _ A Red Letter Day _ Up Against It _ Saturday Night Forever _ Metamorphosis _ Single _ Se A Vida E (That's The Way Life Is) 6 tracks all mediocre, like I said half the album. 3 of those were singles too! To Step Aside was the strongest track. Lyrically I liked "all I wanted was the power to be - like thunder, expressing electricity" from 'Electricity'. I can do this to all albums after 1990. Behaviour had no weak parts.

@karaloca I disagree. I think that Behaviour was a very weak album. Being Boring was okay, but it didn't have any really good bits in it in my opinion. How can you expect to be taken seriously? was my favourite from the album. Didn't mind So Hard or Jealousy either.

As for Bilingual, I didn't mind the first 3. Electricity was the best, but I also like to step aside and up against it.

I like how each album has its own feel, my favourites have to be Please, Actually and Introspective.

Being Boring - Okay? Its possibly the best track they have written. So Hard was fantastic the closest PSB got to Kraftwerk.

Behaviour is like reading Neils diary, its personal and from the heart. But so many PSB songs are written as another person and this for me detaches some feeling.

I'm in business man mode - so I write 'Single'. Then Village People mode - so I write NYC Boy. Behaviour was a rare look at Neil being Neil and for that its beautiful. Especially at a time 'rave' was popular.

@karaloca I don't go on the underlying meanings and stuff, I go by the quality of the song. Though I get what you're saying, the entire album did have that sort of theme to it. What is it about Being Boring that you like? I find it too slow paced compared to Domino Dancing, Heart, Love Comes Quickly or I'm Not Scared, all of which have very catchy tunes, interesting structures and creative, experimental bits.

I took quality of song for granted. I love Being Boring as it tells a great story - musically though its fantastic - even down to the plastic tube at the start. Domino Dancing is great too. Introspective would be my second favourite LP anyway. Big diff in 7" and Introspective versions though. I never go for the 7". Same with Being Boring - the extended version is the best one. Heart although a good record - I find banal and a bit too simple. I'm not scared is a brilliant record in all respects.

@karaloca The more I listen to Being Boring, the more it grows on me. In fact, I'm listening to it RIGHT NOW. Listen to the Discography version of Heart, I think that is by far the best version. I don't normally like disco remix ones but this really adds something to it.

The version of Being Boring carried on Behaviour is absolutely incredible, but my favorite PSB album has to be Billingual, it has some very good dance tracks on like To Step Aside and Before, also A Red Letter Day and Up against it are also on the album, after that Introspective would be my favorite album

I don't know why but the Pets' choice of single releases tend to be very poor (I mean, c'mon: "Did you see me coming"?!?). But finally, they managed to release the best track on their album...and in a version, that's even better! FINALLY!
