if you can walk away from a landing then its always a good landing!!i have a reputation for PLF's on most of my jumps, hence ive now gained the nickname "stacker" at the dz!!!
Not a bad landing compared to my first solo landing. I landed off the dropzone onto the road leading up to the DZ, it was either run into the back of the hanger and mave a low right turn to land on the road, I chose the road. A little road rash fro ma hard PLF on my leg and ankle but all is good and I am ready to jump again next week.
Unbelievable. I can't believe it. You are from Skydive San Diego and that jumper who is crashing is me. I saw it and knew it right away thats my dropzone and I crashed in Feb. pretty hard. My first no wind landing by the way. My 26th jump by the way...very bummed I looked like a rookie. That was a very bad landing. I upsized after that landing and haven't come down since.
@Madmachinist26 Don't feel bad buddy...as long as you didn't get hurt. I'm something of a "PLF King" at my dropzone.....up until last Thursday's jump if I felt I couldn't just "step down" to Earth I'd PLF....I've FINALLY shown myself I can run off excess speed and not do a face plant. I have 22 solos BTW.
Now that I've seen your other videos and understand better, I apologize for my last comment. It seems like we've been in the same boat so I know how you feel. Hope to see you keep jumping.
