What I agree with you on most is the chores they have to do, and could defintely see where you phrased the game as, a missed opportunity - tho' I wouldn't go that far! When you keep in mind this game is several years old, I do think it was and still is an ejoyable game. I can't find mine, but I did get pretty attached to it as an relaxing pass time.

I think Space Colony is a great game. In all the missions you don't have to worry about anything else except your goals and dieing. So like, if your goal is too collect nutrients, you can forget about relationships or how clean the base is and worry about collecting the nutrients. The only reason you should worry about other things is if for example, Venus is unhappy because of how dirty the base is, then you can worry about those things.

Mind you, looking at it now kind of makes me glad I never played it. In fact, the only reason why I opened it was to get that "new game box" smell that you used to get when games had small novels for manuals...

This is an excellent game in the 'transport tycoon' mode. Don't care what the reviewer says - he's too much multiformatted in modern games! :)
