  • I like when he says putuhduh.

  • awesome

  • Joel!

  • Comment removed

  • what exactly is a "put-uh-duh"

  • @sbradydrummer RLL

    LRR

  • @sbradydrummer my line says puh-guh-duh, that threw me off guard too hahaha. RLL or LRR

  • 2 people hit the wrong button

  • check this out if you like this video

    .youtube.co.m/watch?v=cOApymkUOdg

but take out the dot in the middle of .com

  • those drums sound like crap...

  • @mrchris33195 they sound like ass individually, but as a line they sound really good. I have never heard a nine (or eight) man snare line have a good ensemble sound and a good individual sound.

  • the second snare sounds bad (not the player)

  • wooow...

  • that one snare has a ring to it

  • woooooowww :o haha that was incredible!!

  • Call me old fashion, but I prefer ping shots.

  • @BillXHETASXCook Yeah me too man

  • love it!

  • HOLY COW!!!! did i just hear a cadet drummer say slowly at 1:00 ? lol

  • Banished Beyond and his friend played this in one of his videos!! :P

    Sweet.

  • and thats why i play a real kit because i dont like saying gay shit like paradiddleplalalaladiddlediddle

  • @CalientexDrummer

Kit players use rudiments too haha.

  • @biggajigga721 true that

  • @CalientexDrummer you are dumb, you pretty much insult yourself by just talking

  • @CalientexDrummer oh your right seeing how you play a REAL drums, these must be fake drums

  • @drumma151 I SAID A REAL DRUM KIT AS IN AN ACOUSTIC DRUM KIT

  • @CalientexDrummer oh good thing you just explained what you really meant it made everybody on this page like you better

  • Heavy. So heavy. Amazing discipline.

  • Jake gall teaches the drumline i drum for, hes a badass

  • Sitereading gets you no where!!

  • @KC816KC It definitely gets you somewhere. guess you can't read music

  • @phantomarsh Actually no I don't read music because Im 14 and simply don't have the time.. And I only posted that comment because I was bored.. That's all I can do is siteread..

  • They should have marched 2 snares.

  • @madjical bet you the bluecoats still would've been cleaner, brah.

  • @Beaverr14 Bluecoats we're spicy in 07 and 08. They got cheated out of 2 drum trophies.

  • @madjical boooo. i swear they were better than the blue devils this year.

  • @Beaverr14 I wouldn't know, I never got to see both of them live or hear finals so I can't really comment on that. I'll always be a die hard Coats fan though.

  • @madjical same, bro. can't wait to audition.

  • i HATE how they play gock shots...

  • I agree.

  • those snares sound tasty!!!

  • the second guys scares me...lol

  • hes cool as shit

  • Does anyone else notice how lopsided the should bars sit on the guy on the left in the beginning of the video?

  • i def noticed that, but my carrier was like that too. Sometimes it feels better like that.

  • @tealsnare8 maybe its one snare jbar and a tenor jbar.

  • @jeffalbertson4

    no, that's BD...

  • can i get the music for these bars?

  • lol you can tell the section leader is hardcore and hes trying really hard to keep cool.

  • LOL at the way he ridiculously emphasizes the "p" sound in pudaduh at 1:29

  • can any of you lovely people tell me where i may find this music like sheet music

  • The whole point of this video is so you can learn it without the music.

  • Yeah i get that. But listen. They do have music. you know little note thingys with flags and dots? Yeah. They help people read music more so than paradiddle triplet.

  • i know they have music. They learn it from the sheets with the little flags and dots as you so called it, but not all of their music can be found online. The point of this video is so you can learn it without needing the music. And its actually very good for you to practice learning like this because the music in drum corps gets changed basically everyday. The instructors don't print you off a copy of music every time it is changed. They teach you like this.

  • just look around on snare science. it's there

  • what a husky sound

  • lol

  • i met the red hed dude at the cadet camp in norfolk... he was kinda cocky haha

  • i was there too

  • that was tight

  • does anybody have the tenor part for this?

  • very nice

  • i met the jake guy at a cadets camp and he cracked my brand new scott johnsons lol but its cool

  • Wow that's so badass

  • do they have this vid on vic firth?

  • those snares sound like SHEEEEIIIIIITTTTTT. tuning is soooooooooo bad.

  • its a Yamaha.

  • lol exactly. Pearl FTW.

  • Pearl FTL

    Dynasty FTW!

  • why do they tape the bottom of the stcik

  • grip

  • balance too.

  • or for the visuals that need grip from fliping the stick on that end. :0

  • yeah not only should all lines explain their drum breaks, books, etc, DCI should sell a collaboration book of most of the line's music. imagine how many people would buy it.

  • That would be so awesome

  • yeah, imagine.... One person would buy it, and then everyone else would rip off of them for it, and they'll give it to them who will give it to their friends, and will give it to their friends, who will give it to their friends, who will give it to their friends, and ect.... eventually nobody would buy it anyomre, because they could just ask for it from a friend on youtube or somethin...nice idea though..think of something else

  • too bad tom aungst left the cadets....... he is the freakin man

  • i think its great that the cadets have this video to go in depth about this snare piece. now i want to try and learn it, lol

  • is there sheet music for this?

  • And i must also agree ALL the lines should do this!!!

  • that last part is (R) means shot / is the end of a bar

Rrrl (R)lrr LRll rrrl / llRR ll RLR

i ended it on the first beat of the dotted eigth note because that part you can hopefully figure out by yourself

  • thnx man!!!

  • someone have the music''?

  • if u find it u shuld send me a copy or link

  • haha! they look like twins but they are sooooo clean!! crazy

  • i agree every line show have break down vid's like this that's amazing!!!! i love you guys for doin that!!! cadets snareline all beast!!!

  • jake is awesome

  • since this is no longer available.. where can i get it?

  • how come the vicfirth intro thing is all cadets

  • cuz that's their highest ranking drumline

  • damn right.

  • this video helped me out a lottt!!

  • Helped you what?

  • Comment removed

  • correction jake, para-diddle, puh duh duh, puh duh duh, para diddle PARA. (not diddle, which fucked me up for a while when i was trying to learn this.)

  • awesome break down!

  • wow, every corps should have a video like this

  • can someone get the sticking written down

    or the music for me

  • yeah same here. i learn best when its on the sheet.

  • i have the first two parts written out the | is a bar line

    RlrrL rrl(rrl)rrLr | llrrLrll(r)ll(r)lR

the () is on the rim then the second one is:

    Rlrr(l)rrlrrlrllRL | rrllrrLrrlrrlRlRL | R

the () is a back stick and the first 3 beats of the last measure is triplets. the release is the first beat of the last section (which im still trying to write out

  • the last beat of the second one might be wrong

  • this is an amazing video. they explained the lick very well.

  • Thanks for breaking it down, Even though I play tenors, I could learn to play that. Great Upload.
