the only reason cuba is where it is, is not because of what castro did, but what the americans did. cuba for a long time was being oppressed by the americans as they underpaid locals working in their fruit companies all across south america. Fidel y che got rid off the american with the revolution but because cuba wasnt doing anything for america, america placed the embargo on cuba because of the american fear of communism over capitalism. at the time the cold war was a major issue
