  • In the end 9:10 he quotes Akbar on reasoning in religion stating that it was revolutionary.

    This concept had been in existence during the Abbasid Caliphate in Iraq in the form of Mutazila or Rational Philosphy which used AQL(reason) as a tool for the interpretation of religion.This had come to India earlier than Akbar but he was the one who adopted it as state policy. The place where the discussion was held was called the Ibadat Khana.

    Note: not a pedant thought some might want to know.
