You know what? In spite of all of the inconsistencies - like the Frankensteins holding on to that little girl as long as they did instead of returning her and then the daughter acting like she's just getting clued in all at the end - these are STILL great movies! I think one of the all time best is Son of Dracula for a lot of reasons.
@hulkwillsmash48 For that matter - how is it that the wolfman is wearing one thing until he transforms, then he is wearing something else? Look at Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman - he's running all over Europe in plain work clothes, then he gets to Vasaria and suddenly he has suit.
the tall boy w/ the hat who kicked the little girl's ball is Mr.William(Bill)Smith who played in Rich Man & Poor Man as Falcon Eddy, Laredo as Bowie.motorcycle gang leader in C.C. & Company w/ Joe Namath as Moon & also played in the very last season finale in Hawaii 5.0 as a Cop & appeared in almost every action tv show series in the 70's.played Arnold Schwarzenegger father in Conan the Barbarian.Motorcycle flicks.Grave of the Vampire.Blacksploitation movies.Wildside(western)series..ect! =0]
Am I the only one who thinks that the monster is really cute? I just want to hug him and he's soooo cute with that little girl. He's such a sweetheart! :)
since most of universal's frankenstein movies were made after the nazis came to power, it's kinda surprising that no anti-nazi propaganda was included - especially considering frankenstein sounds german
@cstoczyn it looks like you've suddenly started leaving a bunch of comments here. it's a pretty good movie, but i prefer some other movie in the series.
@cstoczyn in the universal studios movies about the frankenstein monster, i guess my favorite movies in the series were "frankenstein meets the wolf man" and "house of frankenstein". both of those movies had interesting scenes where people play music. in "frankenstein meets the wolf man", the music sounded a bit like oktoberfest music. in "house of frankenstein", it seemed like gypsy music.
@cstoczyn another great scene is in "bride of frankenstein", where a doctor ( i think his name was pretorius ) shows off his collection of miniature people that he had created. one miniature person looked like a king, and one looked like a queen, and one looked like a bishop, and one looked like a mermaid.
@cstoczyn i guess you mean that the duke/magician was 1 of the miniature persons that dr. pretorius grew. i had forgotten about the magician. i hate to say this, but i still don't remember the magician. maybe i'll look for the scene. i do recall that another miniature person looked like the devil. i like pretorius's voice and facial features in that movie. i think he was played by one named "thesiger".
@cstoczyn that's the actor's last name./// i just looked at the scene. i saw no duke/magician. i saw a queen and a king and an archbishop and the devil ( who looked much like pretorius ) and a female dancer and a mermaid. all miniature.
@cstoczyn sure. if you go to my uploaded videos ( not my list of favorites ) , the most recent 3 on my list should be the 3 scenes from the frankenstein movies that i mentioned. i haven't yet labeled them as such.
@cstoczyn ok, well i did the scenes so that they are separate from the rest of the movie. so i can send those scenes to people, instead of sending them links to the movies. i guess you were thinking the devil looked like a magician.

@dodge96neon Mary Shelley portrayed him, actually, as French Swiss.

@dodge96neon ha, ur kind of out of your mind, considering the wolf man only saw the jewish star in his next villain.
filmguy531 11 months ago
@filmguy531 jewish star? no, it was a pentagram, a 5-pointed star, common among witches. the jews use a 6-pointed star.
