best socom was socom 2! This is still a great game though! Im a old school player so i enjoyed 1 and 2 the most. I heard the new ones suck! Sounds like Everquest, eqoa was amazing,still fun! eq2 not so much...

There is still about 800-900 people who play this everyday, I own a PS3 and I choose to play this cause it's simply great. If you are worried about cheaters, it is easy to avoid them..Who ever still has this and doesnt play it anymore needs to get back on, bring this game back????

I agree Spartak010, me and all of my friends loved this game to the max! No lag(or very rarely) nothing overpowered, good hit detecting, teamwork, good maps, attachments and everything that you would want. I guess i love using killstreaks but in combined assault i dont think it would work that well. It was great! But now since Zipper has not made a decent game since MAG(Confrontation was shet) I now like COD a litle better. But this is definatly by favorite game, online and offline, EVER!

@jrmex33 you can still get online of the fat ps2 but you need to buy the network adaptor separate. maybe you know someone who doesnt use theirs anymore and can give it to you? but you can probably still find them if so they shouldnt cost too much now

This game was like PERFECT, Dedicated servers, nothing overpowered, the hit detection was AWESOME. But of course you had coders....

With the small ps2 all you have to do it plus the internet line into the back of the ps2.

The same piece that you put into the computer internet port,just take it out of the computer and put it in the ps2.

then when the game is on select the online option and follow the instructions,its simple.

@lle7 idk about socom 1 yes to socom 2 but not many and last i seen about 1500-2000 still play combined assualt (like me, and there could be more im not totaly sure right now) its a good game. just dont plan on being the best of the best within 3 days of starting. the gameplay and the online play are very differant.
