@xm377Moyocoyatzin With much respect my relative...I'm familar with that video. Go take a very good look at his profile. He's one of those who says we are of the so called lost tribes of Isreal.
@apachebutterfly His profile doesn't matter, he can believe he is Barney the Dinosaur for all it matters but the video itself is from a legitimate source. It was made by true Native Americans seeking an end to these clowns who degrade, mooch, stain, and steal their cultural heritage. Most of the pics is this video were pretty good but I saw some performers who aren't necessarily legitimate indigenous people and some who just outright didn't look indigenous at all thus they are suspect.

@xm377Moyocoyatzin It's not his video, that video was made by the Cherokee Nation, I'm sorry you are disappointed in my video. What do you mean they don't look indigenous ?
@apachebutterfly I'm not disappointed. What I mean by saying that some don't look indigenous is that they do not display the characteristic phenotype of Native Americans such as facial features, skin tone etc. This makes me suspect that more than likely they aren't true Native Americans. The conditions by which one is counted as Indigenous are: speak a native language, identify with a Tribal Society, live within the culture etc. If the do not meet this criterion then they aren't legitimate.
@xm377Moyocoyatzin If your referring to our light skinned relatives, the color of one's skin does not determine much at all. We come in all colors. Being light skinned doesn't ensure they are not living strong for our people. Lot's of people don't speak their language. You can't tell by looking. You look at some one all you see is what's on the outside. It's what's in their hearts and minds that's important.
@apachebutterfly The heart and mind can feel something that is not real. This is why I have to deal with all these fools that believe fervently that they are Native American, or that their delusional beliefs reflect our past (Blacks claiming the first Indigenous people were Black Africans or whites Claiming Vikings came to American to teach us how to build pyramids etc..). This is why we must be objective and empirical and not go by what someone "feels." That's how charlatans reign.
@xm377Moyocoyatzin if they are mixed bloods they may not look like you think they should. Are you into DNA? I'm not, what I know about DNA is my DNA is the same as our mother, I'm meant to be here on this land. The land is part of me and I am part of the land.
@apachebutterfly Even mixed people have a distinctive appearance. And yes I know a little about Genetics, also 50% of your DNA comes from your father hence it's not 100% identical to your mother's. I don't think anyone is "meant" to be here, we are all just born at random and it's chance which decides what land you'll be born in. I'm scientific minded, not religious oriented where I ascribe supernatural meanings where there aren't any.
@xm377Moyocoyatzin I understand and I respect your beliefs, I think differently. It's not how you look it's how you live. Our oral history tells us this is the land creator made for us.
@apachebutterfly Hmmmm... I said I am not about beliefs or feelings or any of that stuff. I am about hard facts, science, empiricism and reality. I study Native American beliefs and cultures because I like them, they interest me and also because they are a part of my heritage and I have an interest in preserving them from cultural poachers or others who distort them. You don't need to believe in spirits or mysticism or gods to appreciate the wonder of the human mind.
@apachebutterfly But you're right, the way you live is what defines who you really are. This is how people are judged in ethnography. The common misconception is that ethnic identity is strictly a biological factor but this is only partial, what is used as the basic criteria of ethnic identity is behavior; particularly language and culture.
