Loud Thundersnow in Topeka, KS

I had that in Christmas 2010, when a thundersnow "Winter Thunderstorm" travelled from Wales to East of England and it was nasty with the snow, hail, lightning & thunder.

well in march 93 in georgia was livin in Powdersprings then we had that famousblizzard sat n done had 18 inchs n more in area at 9:30am before lights went Poof all day i saw lighting n heard thunder to awhile....called Thundersnow

i live in kansas and that actually happens alot. i live in a smaller town like 300 miles from topeka but my sister lives up there. last year in march we had 5 feet of snow

@ralyk, thunder like that happens in Kansas all the time. Even on clear and sunny days. Sometimes it goes for hours. That's when it's a true thunderstorm :)

I live in NJ, and in my area, twice the NWS predicted a slight chance of thundersnow. But we didn't get any thunder and lightning. But some other areas in NJ did, as from what I remembered on the news. So far in my life I haven't seen any thundersnow in person.

Thundersnow is very rare where I live (NJ). I've only seen it two or three times in my life so far. But, it is cool to have heavy snow falling and then...KABOOM! :)

Back in October '96, we had bad thundersnow in our area, and our power was out for the entire night, and part of the next day. I was living in far eastern Kansas, at the time, and haven't seen anything like it, since. Nice video!

Pretty unusual to have loud thunder while it's snowing but it has happened... I had that happened around me on THIS VERY DATE exactly 24 years ago...3/29/84((same weather system that caused the deadly tornadoes in NC/SC..!!!)) and last time I had thunder/snow was on 4/9/96.
