When? Sawai Gandharva which year, please? It's always useful to place the performance -- if only to bask in the nostalgia for the ol' Master.

I had the divine fortune to see Bhimanna in 2006 at Sawai (not performing -- just visiting avuncularly) and in 2007 when he actually sang -- perhaps for the last time ever, publicly.

Never mind! I saw the sign, later in the clip, which said it was the 39th year. The festival began in 1952, so one presumes that would make it 1992, assuming the festival was held every year without a gap.

I think Bhimanna was past his, um, inebriated years by then.

@ReignForrest It is 1992 I confirmed it. You are very lucky to see him live, I have always wanted to but never had the chance.
