  • @annalenacrying

fuck u raceist bitch happy new year fucker

  • Excellent models! WKBW radio in Buffalo re-created the broadcast in the late 1960's as a halloween radio drama with local voices and locales. Check out the cd if you can find it.Martians gassed the city at the end...

  • ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Thank you for posting this video!

  • are those m3 lee,s and m5 stuarts? @ 2:45

  • This is pretty good!

  • LOL.

  • People thought it was real, it was after all 1938, If you listen to the broadcast in its entirity, you hear after each break tha it is a Play, unfortunately many people only heard spots of the show. Also if you lived in or around the area they speak about (imagine the noise!) you would quickly notice, NO SPACSHIPS, NO TRIPODS etc. It was a great hoax, in fact many people did not believe that Pearl harbor was real, remembering this night (also it was broadcast on Halloween!!)

  • This is better than all the Hollywood feature films.

Did you make the Martian puppets yourself?

  • Great model work. And there is something, not exactly frightning, but compelling about those retro tripods -- they look like exactly the sort of thing you might see in an old fifties pulp magazine.

  • funny

  • "Hailing Frequencies open., Go ahead Captain. "This is the Federation Starship USS ENTERPRISE; Captian James T Kirk, Commanding. Can we be of Assistance?

My Chief Medical Officer, Dr Leonard McCoy and his Med staff are standing by to assit. Please give us your coord. so we can 'Beam Down' to your location."

  • In the days of tube radios, it took a minute to warm the set up. In that time the intro had played and people came in at the part that sounded like a news flash, untill the end of act one, it did cause a panic.

  • Great idea to animate the radio broadcast. Nice job. The extent to which people actually believed this radio broadcast was real has been over-exagerated and become a bit of a modern myth however. Yes, some people were fooled but certainly not the nationwide panic many would have you believe. And no, people weren't commiting suicide. The original broadcast is only about an hour long and there are numerous reminders during it that it's not real.

  • we are invaded by obama cut those food stamps

  • Socialism is a bummer, huh.

  • this shit scares the fuckers outa my ass

  • Imagine how unconnected these people were back then you would have been hard pressed to conform what was happening before it was to late. No mobile phones no computers. I feel that this is what is going to happen after the internet and telecommunications blackout. The world armies have blocked and the analog radio network and can turn all the digital networks of with a switch.

  • Damn good work guys!!

  • so is dis like the real 1 like

  • but in the book the smoke was a poisonous black vapor that hung no more than fifty feet tall

  • My grandmother heard this while at college and everyone was freaking out good job on this broadcast

  • outstanding AGAIN!5/5

  • did the americans not think this was real bacause they thought it was a real radio broadcast? and everyone was panicking

  • Not everyone, but estimates are that maybe a million or so, because they tuned in to late to hear that it was a show and not a live news show. War was in the air already, just needed a bit of a push. Same show was boarcast in the 50's in Europe and a few people jumped as well, again there was a lot of tension with the cold war goiing on and people were ready for something to happen somewhere.

  • @MrMosinNagant it was a big deal people committed suicide because they believed it so much

  • @MrMosinNagant At first people believed that it was real because he timed it so that the radio broadcast that told everybody that it was just a story was aired at the same time as a major baseball game so nobody heard it and some panicked then more people as the first lot told them what they had heard. Some say he planned it that way as a social experiment .

  • Congratulations! brilliant work!

  • Fucking incredible! Those no-talent hacks who make the terribly un-funny Robot Chicken could learn a thing or two from this video. Not that this video's trying to be funny or anything. I'm just saying it's remarkable that toy cars and action figures could be animated with such chilling dramatic effect. I'm definitely going to subscribe and watch the rest of these!

  • omg! this must of taken you forever!

    5/5 for me!

  • matter of minutes useing about 3 gas bombs whimps out the hole of new york and then that guy trying to contack them that it is realy scary a manage if it was real just 1 of them could take out a town

  • Very well done! This was my favorite sequence of Orson Welles' classic 1938 radio broadcast! To see it animated was amazing!

  • And they smash them all to bits with metal forks, ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa

    for mash get smash :-)

  • you would think that with all the armies in the world they would destroy more than one. NUKE MARS!!!

  • idk they might nuke back

  • If we find a way to safely carry a nuclear weapon to the thermosphere and then somehow get it to Mars!

  • I wish I had those Tripod toys. XD

  • I love the models of Grant and Stuart tanks.

  • Haha! great stuff! did you make the walking macheines urself?? great cars too!! fairpaly - must of took u ages to do!!

  • absolute genius!!

  • good work, awesome

  • WELL DONE, classy!

  • None of this is funny or good. This really happened. A radio show favorited by a family were watching it and suddenly the show said:

WE INTERUPT THIS PROGRAM! MARTIANS ARE ATTACKING! GET OUT OF HERE! And the family acctually got there stuff but wanted to get the dog. So she went outside and never came back. It started the panic.

  • explain more,..i believe this was real..i know in fact...give more details..

  • Happy Birthday Orson Wells.

  • This Broadcast Caused wide spread Panic in 1938 Now do you see why the World Governments Would not tell you UFOs are real !

  • wonderfully done!

You did really good turning that radio program into a video...thing.

    Well done!

  • Coolest thing on Youtube by far!

  • This would be great as a halloween tv special for ABC or CBS.

  • where did he get his tripods from?

  • o god wat the hell was that!!!

  • the original

  • with toys tho

  • As I said before :

    Beautifully done!

You've succeeded in bringing a radio sci-fi classic to visual life.

    Please do more!

  • Best one yet! Man this must have taken you forever not to mention the cost of props, building etc. you deserve an award!
