I just think when you write a song based on a story, the song shouldnt be in a story format. IE did it in these last albums and I don't really like that, the lyrics are sort of too obvious, Judas Priest-Nostradamus also did that, but a bit better.
I think it should be more like Maiden's Brave new world-based on a book but the song is still a song, not just a story. Or alot of Blind Guardian stuff like And the there was silence. U need to read carefully to understand the story about greek myth.
In this song, he is just giving humanity not exactly a last chance..but if we interpret from the album art...he is taking hold of human politics, and if humanity does not right itself, they following him as the antichrist will lead humanity to annihilation.
there is no way in mother fucking hell " i dont give a shit what any of you ripper fans say" that tim owens could give a performance ANY where as epic as Barlow does in this song.
ripper could only sing songs off 2 albums he was on... i hated him basically covering older great IE tunes like the trilogy... his voice wasnt as intense, it just sounded forced. not knocking the guy thats not his singing style, i liked what he did, but in the end Barlow is the fuckin man for IE. he is what makes IE, IE to me.
From my interpretation, this song doesn't represent giving all of humanity another chance. Abominae illuminates the plan to a select elite of humans and gives them the chance to lead the masses to the slaughter: "Will you be led to the slaughter or lead the way?"
i like that interpretation. me and a friend are making a movie based on something wicked and what we're doing is making it so that instead of going himself to ancient civilizations to end them, he projects likeness of himself (the ghost dance) from the dimension gauntlet and sends them to do it. we want him in the end to create a likeness of himself with good intentions and then cut it off from returning so that set can keep his mind on his task while the other can preach a message of hope..
I went to this show. Fucking great show. They only did 3 songs off of The Crucible Of Man (Behold the wicked child, I walk alone, Come What May) and the only song they did off of Horrow show was Dracula
i saw them last night they were at the trocadero in phily. they only played the first 2 songs and come what may off of the crucible of man, and the only song they played of f of horror show was dracula
why isnt the whole song on here!!!!! this is by far their best tune

they're both good, but i still think tim fits the fast songs better, and barlow rocks in slower songs.
