Banning guns won't really solve it because sneaking in guns is just like sneaking candy, it's very simple. Besides people use guns for sports, like I do for skeet shooting, and they aren't violent people but I think a reasonable way to control guns is to do background checks of any disturbing, traumatic histories or mental disorders that pose as a threat.
