I really like the way this woman plays it better than others. no offense, but I think women might get it easier than men, like it's supposed to be a sad remembrance. but some people play it just like a sorta march, when for me it should be about flowing emotions, and each part should melt into the other.
I agree. This is brilliant, just brilliant. Painfully beautiful. I am learning this piece and have listened to many versions on YouTube. This is the best. She has a lot of depth.
Earlier there were also other pieces from the same concert available on YT... Could someone, please, repost those pieces played by Mikkola? (Ravel: Jeux d'eau, Rautavaara: Narcissus, Passionale)
Superbe Interprétation. Bravo !!!!

@goldcherries The composer was... A man. So, very likely, the best player for this piece was a man. What you say it's just a cliché!
P.S.: I also like this interpretation.

Uffff, no sé cómo decir: es la interpretación más humana que he escuchado nunca. Sé que existe Dios.....

Very nice!
Also very 'female", which this piece needs, in a certain way.
Can we see more video recordings of Laura, please ?
Thanks.
