Both House movies were kind of like sillier, more campy kiddie versions of The Evil Dead. This takes me back to usa's up all night were they would be shown late at night
heres a movie pitch: house 4: directed by steven spielberg, starring haley joel osment and poly shore as a quirky gay couple. they buy the house, find out it how strange it is and end up getting married by a hitler zombie who they eventually have a threesome with. pretty good eh
Very nice mix of comedy and horror. House, House 2 and House 4 are great, fantastic, brilliant movies but House 3 aka The Horror Show was complete shit!
This was good campy fun. The Horror Show was the third House movie, but was actually totally unrelated. None of the films followed on from the others anyway. Even so, William Katt was back in House IV as Roger Cobb, but he had a different family, which proves that the canon was screwed up.
Nagh its not, House 2 is NOTHING like Evil dead, its more like Harry Potter or some such.
My 7 year old boy LOVES this film, as does his friend.
I think they could GENUINLY re-release this in cinemas, not a re-make, and it would do great box office as its a fun, family film that still looks good.
I know it's not exactly the same or anything , but it has a similar feel to the evil dead films, but if im wrong its probably due to the fact i've not seen it for at least 15 year, but i do remember it , and i remember that i realy liked it.
I remember back in the day that House 4 was really supposed to be House 3. Supposedly, everyone thought the Horrow Show was House 3 because it involved a haunted house but it really wasn't supposed to be part of the series. So the producers of the House series decided to name the third movie House 4 to capitalize on the confusion. I heard later that Horrow Show was eventually given the name House 3 in an agreement. Great story huh, lol.
I love this movie, but it's nowhere NEAR as scary as the original. The first one relied more on horror, this one goes a bit towards the campy side. I still loved it though.

This was a terrible movie, no doubt about it. It shouldn't have even been made. I'm sure the only reason it was made was to be fodder for Mystery Science Theatre 3000.
more like a spoof, I like it
