I've been drop shotting on default since CoD4, it helps if you have fast hands and can switch between going prone to aiming quick.

The non-map-pack community is just more fun. More second chancers for sure, but they mostly suck. I played with a guy who had over a 2kdr today whose favorite weapon was the Olympia. Never seen anything like that playing with the map pack guys.

i don't use tactical just to drop shot. i use it because i can have the total array of movement with just two analog sticks.

@iluvlamp83 It's often better to save them for a time of need. When you've got the reward you don't have to call it in instantly. I try to keep at least one Counter Spy Plane and one Napalm Strike spare in case we go a flag down, or they get a Blackbird.

It's not the drop shot that I play on tactical for it's for the added mobility. You have far more movement control on tactical but indeed not having the knife hurts.

people who use tactical most likely didn't want to take the time to learn a proper dropshot with default, it really isn't even that hard, I can even dropshot with semi-auto if I want to (no I don't have a mod, just an very fast trigger finger). Although I have to say I dropshot no more than 1 every 150-200 kills.

Boo you should try "clawing". Shoot with your middle finger and keep your index finger on Y/RB use your index finger to press A,B,X,Y.

I've tended to notice that in a party with all map packs disabled, it matches you against players that also don't have the map packs. A personal observation seems to be that the people you get matched with, without the packs, tend to be considerably worse players. Definitely leads to some fun games. lol

I run tactical because, unless I'm only knifing that specific game, I hate panic knifing someone. It does save your life a lot, but I'd rather kill someone more skillfully than just squeezing the controller when the enemy gets close :P

Boo are your recommendations for the 360 or PS3 Controller? If it's the PS3 it's possible to do what you're saying as i curl my index finger around the right analog stick and manipulate it in conjunction with my left thumb.

The 360 Controller is quite bulky and more difficult to have the left hand reach all the way over while having most of the fingers on the other buttons
