  • The amazing thing about Adam is how clean everything is. He never sounds sloppy. EVER.

  • Crazy stuff. Dig

  • hes like the mike flores of music that isnt deathmetal

  • 4 dumbshits

  • Hard not to be impressed by this, but I'd like to hear something that I could take with me..too much note overload.

  • @55mrj agreed, skills, but I've heard basslines/-solos that have sounded better : /

  • Adam Nitti for Animals As Leaders!

  • Mr. Sweeps

  • he dont eaven use 3 fingers Oo

  • This guy is amazing!

  • Technical skill out the yingaling---

Adam is very skilled, perhaps one of the most technically developed players on the planet- however, I have never walked away from one of his tunes or demonstrations humming a single melody or part, ever. He Would do well to

put the bass down for a week and see if he hears anything in the wind---

Let your pen lead you, dude, not your fingers!

  • @holdencaustic

I agree with you. Adam is one of the best bassists today. His technique is killer - I haven't heard some one play sweeps on a bass any better. But alot of his music I don't find it memorable. I don't think I ever had a melody or lick stuck in my mind from him. Not trying to take anything away from him though, because he IS amazing. I just feel like his music doesn't hit me on an emotional level. That's what makes music memoriable - to me anyway...

  • @ZappaFan101

With you on that, I would recommend Patittucci (modern stuff) for a good experience.

Communion is a nice mix, no major bass pyrotechnics.

  • @holdencaustic

I'll check that out. I haven't heard much of patitucci's stuff, but I did enjoy what I have listened to so far. I picked his "Remembrance" album with Joe Lovano and Brian Blade". As a matter of fact, It's in my cd player right now. It's good stuff.

  • He has a really guitar like tone, it's not just the high strings.

  • i creamed at those sweeps

  • would love to see him and Paul Gilbert make an intro with arpeggios!

  • that would be fuckin AWESOME!

  • It almost doesn't even sound like a bass, weird. If you close your eyes it's like he;'s playing plain guitar.

  • its because of the extra high strings, Bass guitars are only tuned an octave below regular guitars (probided standerd tunings are used) so when he plays high up the fret board like that its like playing mids and lows on a guitar fretboard.

  • That is called Skill!

  • @scarletredtv Actually,i've tried what you said and, well,it still sounds like a bass.

But maybe this is because i'm a bassist too.

  • I'm going to buck the trend and build a two string bass

  • lol

    build a one string guitar

  • @Craydon

Man, for most songs that honestly all you need. I'm for it!

  • @Craydon already done man. make a 3 string instead

  • @Craydon already done man. make a 3 string instead ;p

  • @Craydon I guess you're the Great Southern Trendkiller lol

  • Wow... really fast!

  • Es alucinante. ¿Es "guitarra" o bajo? je, je.

  • im no bass player but hes fast and damn.........speechless

  • who is this kid

  • BEAST

  • 6:20 - 6:40 was worth watching the whole thing

    :)

    5/5
