  • Great video. Very informative.

  • Thank you for the great information provided I took notes and created an inventory of neccessary items that you mentioned and things I already had. Hopefully everything comes together and our world leaders come to their senses. Thanks again take care and be safe out there

  • good video! I shared it with my preppers and survivalist group. Hit all the highlights and has some great other items. Thanks for the effort!

  • thank you for your effort to help! I took notes and will stock up. I hope things get better in your country and ours.

  • @Tosy52 You are Welcome. Thank you for your comment! It is about time something we all do something so that things get better all around the world.

  • @Tosy52 If the conterys economy breaks. People will rob you of all your food and just kill you. And in 3 weaks there will be kanibals hunting people down.

Make a plan to survie from the forest. Learn how to survive and save the good people around you.

  • your accent sir, is nothing short of phenomonal

  • I enjoyed the video and wrote down the list, thanks for sharing.

  • 26: beano

  • All the comments regarding the "allergy de jour" are amusing. I recall when it was milk, then it was peanuts (which became peanuts AND tree nut; This, although they are totally dissimilar. Remember, "peanuts" are of the legume family like beans, peas, and clover.) Gluten seems to be fashionable these days. Some "genius" on here stating that this and that are "POISON". I tend to think that when people's very survival is at stake, they will forget the latest allergy fad and will eat anything!

  • @mothman1967

He was showing microwave dinners. Some of these must be kept frozen, so yeah it was dumb as fuck. Fire is not for cooking nasty ass, chemical laden microwave dinners. Just boil up some rice & toss in wild onions, dandelions, violets, purslane & a goddamned squirrel, all can be found near your home & all vitamins covered.

I dont talk fads motherfucker. I am an Environmentalist, minored in Geology, Botany & years of other education. Can you even say you took Ethnobotany? Doubt it.

  • I got canned beans .. is that ok

  • @JaxxBat Canned beans are good choice. They have many calories per weight and provide complex carbohydrates, proteins and fiber. They cost more than raw beans that you cook yourself but they have this very important advantage: You open the can and you eat it right away.

  • @FTBLETSAS .. I ate lots rice & beans when i was younger and a lot lowr on cash

  • PART 1 Listen to this guy if you want to poison yourself. 1. Beans <=====POISONOUS TO HUMANS 2. Wheat is POISON. 3. Pasta is Wheat and therefore POISON. 4. Rice- Only Whole brown rice, be sure to rinse/soak before cooking. 5. Cereal is usually Wheat and is therefore poisonous 6. Bread is Wheat and is therefore poisonous. 7. Canned goods, no corn or beans. Tomatos must be in glass. 8. Canned fruit is laced with sugar, Dont eat it. 9. Olive oil OK. No Corn, Soy or canola oil.
  • @Achaeosic Clearly, you are a real survivalist LMAO!

  • PART 2 10. Humans should avoid peanuts. Most other types are OK. 11. Seeds are ok sparingly 12. Dried fruit is ok sparingly. 13. Veggie jars... this is the same as canned goods, geez. 14. Herbs & Spices are fine but is this guy serious? geeez 15. This is basically the same as #14 ......geeeez 16. This should be with #11 geeeeez 17. Honey is OK sparingly. 18. Jams goes with #8 don't eat. 19. Large amounts of salt should be kept. 20, Vinegar should also be stored in large amounts.
  • PART 3

    21. Ready to eat meals, Dumb. Need power to cook frozen dinners.

    22. Chocolate- Not essential at all.

    23. Vitamins- Eat right & your good but they arent a bad idea.

    24. Juices are not natural & people should not drink these.

    25. Water - obviously. Set up rainwater collection, dont be a dipshit.

    26. Wine is not essential.

OVERALL: I give this list an F & a low one at that. In a serious situation if you wasted your time listening to this guy you are going to probably fucking die.

  • @Achaeosic: You need "power" to cook ready to eat meals? Obviously, "someone" hasn't heard about the latest invention: FIRE! It is mind boggling, but I can only assume that there are people so lacking in common sense that they thing an oven or microwave is essntial for these things. Rain watre? Yes, I'll tuen the rain on when I need water, right? Try that in the Southwest, genius. Vitamins are good because you WON'T be eating right! When it comes to survival, you'd kill for a rat fried in lard!

  • Picking up food staples before the prices skyrocket is smart.

  • the H is silent in the word HERB....like erbs and spices. Geesh

  • @jackson55815 Like the "K" in kiln, it has been mis-pronounced for so long that it is actually gaining accptability. Like the rest of civilization, our language is dying.

  • if you need to be gluten free, I've just discovered a long term food storage supply that has gf supplies: augasonfarms

  • @1234tfd For gluten free Food storage simply skip the wheat based products and go for rice, beans, lentils etc to cover the basic carbohydrate and energy needs.

  • Pretty much all the non-fresh, non-freezer sections of the supermarket.

You shd try to get your camera to focus on close ups.

  • Sweet heart please how do you spice the lamb meat for gyros? please tell me im dieing here. how do you spice the lamb or goat ???

    rotisserie style please

I hope you can help me.

  • @lowedrake Hello! In Greece, gyros is made with pork. Lamb or goat is rarely used in those applications. We use to grill the whole lamp for Easter without any spices. Do you want to grill lamp or cook it in a pan?

  • @FTBLETSAS I would like to grill or slow roast the lamb. what would you suggest?

  • Hearing you talk, you sound just like my Uncle George. Not really my uncle, but a dear family friend. He was from Greece, of course, and I hadn't realized how much I missed just listening to his voice until I almost started crying listening to this video. So thank you for not only this excellent concise list, but also thank you for the long ago sounds and memories of home.

  • Unless you are by unlimited water...dry goods are no good...you will need water for drinking and hygene...

  • Great vid. TY

  • so what your saying is....greek is better = )

  • @Homegrownhealer Something being Greek doesnt mean its better. There are good and bad things everywhere. However, there are some excellent Greek foods. Since I am Greek I like braggng about them! :-)

  • @FTBLETSAS Greek IS best! Opa!

  • Beware when you buy in bulk, I have many times found bulk products are old or buggy! Best to buy bulk from local farmers ect.

  • Great video, not sure I agree with # 21 & 24. Ive found with TV dinners and fruit juices that the sodium and sugar content, along with the preservatives used, make them more harmful than good. You can certainly get what you need from all the great options you previously mention.

  • A few words that make you think " Food Shortage " & " Global Debt " then add them together =P

  • I've never seen honey in a can where I live.

  • VERY GOOD Video. Had to save it in Favorites.

  • Wonderful video, thank you.

  • No he didn't with the "Greek Olive Oil", LMAO

  • Very good list.

    but

honey actually last forever, even if it gets hard, you can add warm water and turn it into honey again. And I would add peanut butter to the list, lasts 2 to 5 years in the jar, 3 months after you open it, no refridgeration needed,

  • @johnmonk66 Actually adding water to honey will cause it to ferment. To re-liquefy honey that has hardened heat it in a pan of water.

  • when bread gets close to $27 where i live then i will start stocking up

  • @KaiserVadin It will..! it is a matter of time.. I wouldnt wait till then...

  • @FTBLETSAS well as of now i see no signs of food shortage, so i think whoever started that rumor is full of bs, but i also so no problem buying the food ahead of time, the MASSIVE problem is having stay fresh for 25+ years

  • @KaiserVadin 25+ years is indeed too much.. However, there are people who dont even consider storing food for 25 days...

  • @KaiserVadin I don't think it is so much the problem of food shortage but what IF transportation was stopped and food delivery or any delivery was stopped for sometime...there are several scenarios why this could happen...but I think at least a month is a good idea...2-3 weeks minimum. Just my 2 cents :)

  • @KaiserVadin to keep it fresh for a long time is you keep rotating it, buy fresh to store & eat the old, also maybe the food shortage isn't the problem but maybe a bad disaster happens that stops the trucks that bring stuff to your stores, or something as simple as the food / gas prices get so high that most people just won't be able to afford it, many reasons to have a surplus, people have been using savings account for money, but what if situations come up all the time, better to be prepared

  • @KaiserVadin This is a poor investing strategy that has costed many people their fortune/homes.

  • @KaiserVadin What sense does it make to stock up AFTER the economy falls through the floor? If you stock up when food is still relatively inexpensive, you can store more food for the long term.

If you wait until inflation brings us to $27 bread, you've waited too long. And I can almost guarantee when bread is THAT expensive, there won't be much on the grocery store shelves anyway. You'll starve or be reduced to killing your neighbors for the crumbs they still have.

  • @KaiserVadin Good luck!

  • Brilliant; thank you for this!

  • Essential health giving foods; Miso, seaweed flakes, umeboshi plum paste, bottled lemon juice, apple cyder vinegar, garlic, Honey & aloe vera gel (for infections & wounds). The best, natural SEA salt NOT table salt. Seeds for sprouting; alfalfa, brocolli, fenugreek etc. Herbs and spices for health Cayenne pepper, turmeric, garlic, ginger, sage, parsley, rosemary etc. Read about the properties of all these ingredients and how to use them for illness/wounds etc.

  • I see you saved the best for last there!

  • Thanks, for the tips fellow Greek. I am glad to see that some Greeks are also

    into prepping. Yia Sou

  • @melanieanastos thanks for the comment. I think Greeks should be seriously preparing with all that happens these times around here, even if Greece as a country has a huge capacity of food production that can easily cover the needs of the people. Better be safe than sorry.

  • @FTBLETSAS Argentina had a population of 40 million but could produce food

for 300 million, but when they got hit, people died of starvation and there was alot

of suffering. Yes, better safe than sorry.

  • @melanieanastos Sad but true point. Better to prepare for something and nothing happens, than prepare for nothing and something happens!

  • @FTBLETSAS As long as you rotate your stock you will be saving money since

prices are going up all the time. It's a win-win situation.

  • @melanieanastos Yes I agree. You can also find great prices if you buy big quantities from whole-sellers or cash&carry shops.

  • Great video! One point on the canned vegetables & fruits - they also provide the water, which is also very important to add to your food storage.

  • @MyFreedomChannel Thats a great point! Thank you..!

  • Thank you for the post! Excellent! I agree on all the Greek comments too - love Greek salads, olive oil, mousaka and pretty much everything else Greek (except the current troubles). Hope all is well with you and thanks again for the thoughtful post!

  • @calditz1 Thank you for your kind words and comments! All the Best.

  • when it comes to chaos? i dont think of tastes , i just want calories and making my stomach feel it has something in it ,, but excellent video mijo!

  • Excellent Video!!!

  • Excellent!

  • great list, you hit all the bases. a little wine is like medicine, my only suggestions would be high proof vodka, for making medicinal tinctures, greek oregano makes a fabulous anti-bacterial tincure, just one example.and make sure you have a non-electric can opener.

  • nice video.... i like the fact the that you remind everyone to include the little

things on their LIST, such as chocolate, vinegar, mixed nuts & canned fruits

and many more.... that'll boost the spirit way up in a worst case scenerio.

situation, thank you for sharing & God bless.........

  • @RosiesRed Thank you for your nice comment! All the best. FT

  • thank you, eye took notes. Aloe Vera Gel for consumption and for topical treatments. get great prices on amazon.com lily of the desert is my favorite brand. please post more

  • Why do you keep so many variations of each thing? I've been stacking same type of each, but seeing you having different types of each, is that better?

  • @DeeWeext Great point... The good of keeping less variety is that you can buy large amounts cheaper and that you can manage the storage easier. On the other hand the most obvious advantage is... Variety! I have lots of different foods because of what I do for living. My main advice is to get large amounts of some basic staple food such as wheat, rice and beans and then have a variety from the rest. Hope that helps! Be safe.. All the best. FT
