You just take your receipt and pick up a copy off the shelf and take it to the customer service area. Then just tell them you pre-ordered and they'll deduct your pre-order deposit from the game.

i got my copie of odst from walmart and i got the code inside the empty box, weird thing is the code is visible from the get go , there was no peeling of any cardboard to see it and i also got a 2 sided poster with halo reach on one side and halo odst on the other.

My empty box was different then the one shown here, it has writing on it letting you know that the beta for reach is included and that you have a character token card inside and a poster, and all were included aside from the beta.

You dont NEED the case. I just got this case by pre-ordering at best buy. When the game comes out, you just go to the store and show them your receipt. Then they give you the game (which you still have to pay for obviously) All you need s a receipt
