Hirasawa-san is A M A Z I N G!! This song is A M A Z I N G!! Paprika is A M A Z I N G! Satoshi Kon was the one of the B E S T!
I freaking love this song. Not a day goes by without me listening to that on my Ipod. But this concert performance... I'm mind-blown!! Exceptional voice indeed.
@pheenix42 man, if there is one thing i do before i die, it will be seeing this man live... and it will have been a life worth living just for that moment (and i am not kidding)
RIP Satoshi Kon, you were a GREAT director and artist. I loved Paprika. It was a great movie...I hope you lived life to the fullest while you were here...I hope you got everything you wanted out of life and have moved on to a better place.
As for Hirasawa-Sama...He has a very unique voice that just can be recognized no matter what...its just so amazing, he sounds like he is 25.
He is a very skilled singer. I know that for sure...Susumu Hirasawa, you're really something~
what an amazing artist...!!Personal opinion: you can tell the significance of an artist by the way he/she performs live! And Susumu Hirasawa is absolutely breathtaking live(through youtube,so this x1000 must be the performance's real value..)...
Thank you Susumu Hirasawa. You are what made Paprika, Paprika. You have reall out done yourself.
Satoshi Kon, your body and soul may have left this earth, but your love and memory will remain forever. Thank you, Satoshi, we are eternally greatful :)
I remember reading somewhere "Yoiya naze ni mugen to bihai" (or close) and it being "Intoxicated and wondering about life". So, I assume it's a positive song.
one of the best singers i have ever heard, lol, i remember talking with my friend and we agreed, when you first hear hirasawa singing, you think he's some 20-something guy, what i mean is, he's got a very young sounding voice. love to see him in concert, would be so cool
MY our memories help to expand a the wonder. I ask for help in passing on the word of this wonderous music. I for one am telling every one i know to search and watch all of the work of both Susumu Hirisawa and Satoshi Kon (My he rest in peace).
@ryoga316 He finished writing a script and left directional tapes to Madhouse for his last film, which is being completed by them currently. The Dream Machine is english title.
Just listening to this did nothing for me. When I saw him start singing, however, I was ready to marry him! The voice, the face, the clothes...perfect.
I'm no singer, but I'm thinking that the breathing in this song must be a bitch to time properly...... never mind making the music at the same time like Hirasawa-sama is doing here!
@Selphiriia The Japanese are generally...more contained during live performances, I've noticed. I think it's a cultural thing. (Something I greatly appreciate, due to not having to strain to hear the performer over all the spazzing in the audience.)
@namman lol idk i have heard people say mandarin, tiawanese, and vietnamese. but i only speak japanese and it is obvious fromt he rest of the song it is not. lol
What do the opening lines "Yoi ya nonde jinrui geko bihai" mean? I'm pretty sure it's the undistorted version of what's said in the original song, but I have no idea what it means.
In the recorded version of the song that plays during and at the end of the movie, there are female vocals, and that's what they say. His vocals say "Yoi ya nonde jinrui geko bihai".
can anyone tell me which live performance of Susumu's where the audience had to guide through a maze. (i think it was a maze, its been awhile since i saw it) but i wanna show it to some friends
it is from the "byakkoya live memorials", its length is about 8 minutes. the 'second part' of the song is a kind of instrumental version of the song called "the stillborn city" with some arrangements, from Byakkoya album.
Because this song uses the history of White Tiger Oil Field, which is the biggest oilfield in Vietnam, as the motif, and sings a story which implies various things through it.
His Interactive Live has RPG like story that have good end and bad end. And audience's action is trigger for developments of different stories and different performance.
