  • Tips on making hot and sour soup are: Dnt use water as stock. Dnt overcook vinegar by adding it too early. Thicken soup before egg drop. Stir constantly to prevent lumps. And guide your egg with a fork to create nice streaks. Let it sit for a bit, then stir.
