@shinytrees The car commercial made this song, not vice-versa. The model in the passengers seat with her "Pop-Locking" moves became a minor celebrity. In offices across the US, when the song came on the radio, office workers would start "Pop-Locking" until the song ended.  The song would not have been a hit without all the airplay from the commercial.
